I don't think she's related.

NBC can't sell all it's superbowl add space, companies don't want to pay that much for adds at the same time they are laying off.

Lots of superbowl tickets left for sale, people aren't buying them. CNN just said scalpers are trying to sell tickets AT FACE VALUE.

Economy woes bring many to the brink

Counselors at a Los Angeles suicide call-in center say many of the calls they're getting these days are about lapsed health insurance, foreclosures, bank problems and unemployment benefits. "I don't think it's ever been this bad," says counselor Elizabeth Gore

its a good thing im not a counselor id be asking questions to see if they should throw themselfs from the top of buildings and shit.questions like..did you buy shit you cant afford to pay for?that i must now pay for and my great grandchildren will pay for..if the answer is yes..then id direct them to the nearest bridge...and tell them the only honorable thing to do..since you saddled my family with massive amounts of debt is to jump....fucking iresponsible ass holes...:hump:

I think people buying with credit causes the problems. With a runaway government and no discipline we will be screwed>

So if someone calls and is distresses because they lost their job and along with it their health benefits, you'd tell them to kill theirself?

Could you be more of a douchebag? How about you go and jump off the top of the tallest building and show them how it's done.

I got as far as the word sister (in the second line) and gave up. Whatever you have to say, it's not being read by me, and I doubt many others bother to wade though it either.

actuallyI waded and if the expletives are removed and personal references he's dead bang on for a whole bunch of people..not all agreed..
There's that commercial from Visa about that big screen TV..You know "now you can know how much you can spend" That is what the REAL trouble is...over spending. I'll never understand why so many people "need" a new car every couple of years..or 2.. What happened to not buying something unless the cash is in the stash? I do understand the need for C cards...when "Oh Shit" enters the picture..an emergency..

Example..I was a commercial fisherman.there were several really good seasons and many folks went out and..on credit..purchased new trucks, boats, and motors..50K or better. They'd laugh at me and ask when I was going to buy new.. Now ALL of my gear cost less than 2K.. Mu answer always was.."well the boat gets me there and back, so does the truck..Wel theinevitable happened and there was a crash..Still making $300+ a day in season.then a month closure..Al those people were crying poor mouth..The Govt' offered baiout funds. In interviews these folks where whining that they'd made 70K lat year .."help me I'm broke was their cry... I'd have let them twist in the wind..If after making 70K where was the money?
i know that is not always the case but it is for the most part.

I don't use credit cards myself. I don't have a single one. My car 10 years old and paid for for 5 years now. It runs, may has well drive it until it dies. My truck is a 1978, I like it, it's EMP proof, no computer chips in that baby. If there ever is an EMP, I'll still be driving.

We bought a new TV last year, paid cash, bought a display model (only difference is no box) and they took 25% off the price.

I'm not one to go "look I paid $100 for these jeans", I'm the one that says "look I paid under $20 dollars for these jeans. "

I'm more about finding the elusive bargain, why pay more when you don't have to? I like to buy plants when the garden center has just about killed them, pick them up for a dollar and bring them back to life, it's my hobby. I have miniture roses out back, I bought them for 10 cents per bush.

I have 1 card..and keep it paid off. All vehicles at least 12 years old..Except snowmobile and 4 wheeler..both of which are needed, and were bought with cash Need them to get out of our place in winter and to work the land..
It's sad to say, but this society has devolved badly. When once few would ask for help..now it's "somebody DO something" " it's not my fault" with much hand wringing and sorrowful eyes.. Or" I'm sorry..I didn't mean to do it" *shaking head*

I have 2 vehicles and both have an excess of 250,000 each. I am the cheapist.
Hey, you need a good mechanic,~LOL~? I bought my last new vehicle 5 years ago, 1 more year and it's paid for. I figure barring crashes, this truck will outlast me, 5 years and 16,000 miles. Heck, I won't even get to use my warranty, (7-70). Still has the new car smell, or was that my farts? I'll bet I have the oldest car on this site, a 1962 Chevy Nova.

This has been going on in Puerto Rico for over a year. They actually have radio announcements trying to tell people not to commit suicide.

Puerto Rico is an accurate case study of liberal economics unchecked. Cali is still behind in carnage but is catching up. They are dropping like flies in P.R. They are out of money, they are out of credit, given this incredible track of success, another bailout.....

Are you trying to tell me we're bailing out Puerto Rico?

It has not been written up yet, but yes, P.R. being a DEM haven will certainly be slipped in at some point.

The media constantly is bombarding us with the BIG number of 900Billion or a TRILLION bucks, but when you actually break down how the money is being spent.... let me just say, don't examine the fine print if you like to sleep at night.....it will give you night terrors.

We are in the front row of this boondoggle....get your cameras ready.
