Is there a plug-in thermostat, like for a space heater?

I have a quartz space heater. Well, you know the light timers that you plug your lights into, then you plug the timer into the wall? I'm wondering if there is a thermostat like that that I can plug my heater into. Anybody know?

I bought a little electric heater at Menards for $40 that has a thermometer built in. Program it just light a digital furnace thermometer. When the temp falls below whatever you set, it turns on automatically. It displays room temp, can run on high or low speed, and also oscilates.

Oh and it also came with a remote.

isnt that for a furnace?

you asked for a thermostat. this is an electric thermostat that you can use for heat or for cold...

they also have them at home depot, you just plug it in, and then plug your heating or cooling device into the thermostat, and when the temperatures call for it, the thermostat will power the chosen device on.

When you say "plug in" are you meaning to hard wire or do you really mean plug in,ive never seen a plug and play thermostatic device that simply plugs into a wall outlet ,then allows the device in question to be plugged directly into it & be tempertaure controled.

I think he means something just like a timer that turns something on and off.. But instead of turning off and on based on time it does it based on temp? Am I right? If there isnt such a product, I would imagine there would be a pretty good market for something like that.

KashKrop, that's it! Thanks, babe. :)

Everybody, thanks for your replies. This is what I wanted: something you could plug your heater into, that has a thermostat in it, and will shut your heater off based on the temperatures. The one KashKrop is talking about costs 35-36 dollars, and if it works okay, and it doesn't hurt the heater to cycle on and off like that, then it would seem to be money well spent, at least if you're like me and are gone most of the day. Have a look. :)

thats it lol ^^

I've been using those for over 5 years with no probs. I have outdoor pump houses for my irrigation system (food not weed lol).Just set the dial to the temp you want to maintain, plug it all in & presto, done.I just have to be aware of power outages in sub-freezing temps.
