Second grow dwc to autopotspider farmer self watering system 100% coco

43 days in to flower and everythings still looking great, buds are swelling up nicely. I'm getting nice citrus/earthy tones off the sugar leaves
Had a few issues with high temps due to a heat wave. Ive had a couple of days of 28-29°C in the tent even with lights turned to 50% nothing much I can do but it's only temporary thankfully. Everything will be cooling back down again Monday. Not sure how long i have to go but I'm guessing around 10-14 days at a guess. They're starting to drink less aswell so I'm going to reduce the nutrients when i top up the reservoir from 2.2 to maybe 1.8 then 1.6?

Cheers

Sorry to hear that. Lacking an AC unit the only other thing to do would be to run the lights at night but, if it's just a heat wave, it might not be worth the trouble.

The plants look excellent and they've filled out the grow space completely. That's great to see.

Re. dropping EC - that's similar to what I've done but, for the life of me, I can't come up with a reason as to why I've done that. Growth definitely slows but that a doesn't necessarily mean that plants need fewer nutrients. I guess I've trusted conventional wisdom to be right about that.

I run my lights at night because the electricity is far cheaper and for me to regain the cost of an AC unit where I live would take me a lifetime. 24-26C maximum usually during the day in the summer haha. And after you've mentioned it I've ran my plants at 2.2 from seedling up until now and had no issues whatsoever. But I'd rather back then off for safety at the minute as I'm only a newbie can't afford to lose my personal supplies ATM haha. But I'm very happy with the plants hoping for 14-16 oz this run I think it's definitely doable with how things are... They smell amazing!!!

Day 50 of flower and they're looking done! So close to the finish line. Im just waiting for the perfect balance of amber trichomes overall between the buds to harvest at a happy medium throughout. At rough guess I would say 3-5 days. Which would actually lands in between the breeders harvest time of 45-55 days!
Also I've been out and bought my self some Barney's glookies, (GG x thin mint gsc) for my next grow and they're in the paper towel soaking hopefully get 10-14 days head start while this grow is drying.
Ive also got some grove bags for my cure instead of the mason jars so hopefully they work out well too.

Cheers!

Just a few days—on final approach. Excellent!

Be on the lookout for bud rot since this is when the flowers their most dense. Prime conditions are high RH and/or temps+RH that allow moisture to form on the leaves. If you're >24/75, that helps. Lots of air flow, too.

"No rest for the wicked!"

Are you using a silicon supplement? I ask because it was part of the nutrient line I was using when I started growing and I kept using it when I switched to Jacks. Bugbee is a big fan, per the attached PDF.

Grove bags are very nice. Much easier to deal with than jars.

I've lowered the humidity on my dehumidifier to 45-50%, although it's increased the temperature in the tent I'm not taking that risk. I've also got a HUGEEEE fan in there blowing against the ceiling to dissipate the wind speed because it's so fucking powerful, even on the lowest setting haha.

Absolutely mate! I need to get a head start. The stash from my previous harvest has completely disappeared somehow? :eyesmoke::lol:. It's amazing how much extra you smoke when you have a large supply and it's "free".

And no I'm not using and silica, I know I should though so Im definitely going to be using it this run for sure so I'll check that out, thanks!

Yeah they look so much easier and don't take up and where near as much space!

Got a good laugh out of that. It's so true. Weed prices are insane here in Southern California. Prices were $350 an ounce entry level (that was for delivery) with prime ounces being $450 and up so I was pretty careful about not wasting any of it.

After a harvest or two, it's like a drunken sailor on shore leave! Spill some on the cutting board? Ah, just brush it off into the sink. Leave half a joint in the ashtray overnight? Not a problem, just roll a few new ones. Having ¼ pound Grove bags does change ones perspective.

And the Koolatron is untouched with the grow I harvested in February.

Sure thing.

I was using Botanicare's Silica Blast but I switched to DIY. Here are my notes on that:

"Instructions on using Potassium Silicate as a supplement instead of using Silica Blast.

Heat 32 ounces of water and add 140gm of Potassium Silicate.

Stir until all of the Potassium Silicate is dissolved."

Yeah they look so much easier and don't take up and where near as much space!
Yeh and zero chance of breakage.

If you haven't seen it, there's an interesting thread on converting a wine fridge into a drying and curing device.

That's insane! Here in the UK £180-200 is about where it's at for top grade flower, £120-130 for mass produced mediocre Eastern European collapsed lung specials and £160 ish for anything inbetween.

Hahahaha! I'm sure it is, this harvest I will be abit more conservative with how I'm smoking it until I get a feeling for grams per week and I can work out my allowance per week to match that... Instead of being greedy like I have been!

That sounds very simple and far cheaper! I'll have to see where I can source it here.

And I have seen the thread somewhere I will have to have a look again I was looking at cannatrols but they're abit expensive for the amount of bud the van cure at a time.
