Hi, sorry if I’m hyjacking this post a tad, but figured it was the best place to ask, we have had a letter from our electric supplier saying that the bills have gone up and they wanna send someone round to check the meter and see what has caused it, there also pushing for a smart meter and we keep refusing, but the monthly bill has gone up about £300 any one got any advise on what to say to keep em out? We have said the kids have had the electric heaters on every day with the heating, but if my partner lets them in can they snoop about ?

They Cant really snoop about

Is your grow room anywhere near the meter, have you got any wires coming from your fuse box to your grow room...

Can you smell your grow when in your house.

You are not obligated by law to take their meter, if you don't want it tell them you're not interested, that should be it.

We can be sure they haven't spent millions on smart meters for the customers benefits, I'm certain anyway lol.

If the dude arrives show him your meter that's it, he won't attempt to look anywhere that would be illegal without a court order.

Just make sure there's nothing to be seen/smell indicating there's growing and you'll be fine.

They cant do crap as long as u pay your bills, 300 euro extra on bill nothing

Yeah as for the electricity shit we just pay the extreme estimates they send out it works out cheaper and they have never questioned it to day hahah we pay mad prices but not as mad as they should be so it’s a win win for us

You got an eletric pottery kiln u took up pottery hence the increase they ask
