It was good tech for the time and has zero bearing on the current topic.
Most have given up on hydrogen as a viable auto energy source but there does seem to be a market for large vehicles. I’m just looking at a few battery manufacturers re a small stock purchase. There’s a few that have not gone public yet that are showing promise.

It seems like Tesla is much hype. All they have is prototypes and artists renditions but nothing in production as their production dates keep getting pushed back. It looks like everyone has either caught up to or passed Tesla.

Freightliner already has electric semi trucks in production. So does Volvo with some already on the road in commercial use.

Ford also has an electric F-150 that will begin delivery within the year.

All Tesla is doing is taking reservations and holding press conferences promising the moon and the stars but never delivering on those promises.

Tesla might have had the lead with electric years ago but that lead has evaporated. Tesla is not the leader. They're just another player.

What hydrogen has that batteries do not is quick refueling. For major transport ( trucks, trains, ships) that is a big plus.

Man...the 85kwh pack weighs 1200lbs, what will the 200kwh pack in the truck weigh??

The cars already weigh as much as a Chevy Suburban.
