People get insulted when they fail morally, it is the way of things, anybody who voted for Trump was a moral failure. This election was not about policy, it was about patriotism and morality, Trump voters failed on both counts. Both sides are not the same in a struggle between right and wrong, no Christian could support Trump, end of argument or I'll beat you up real bad.

Stop snowflaking, you support Trump, so insults should not be a problem. I'm nice to honest folks with honor, including actual conservatives who I respect, but don't agree with. It depends on your objective, the complete deconditioning of awaking, or just to be happy helpful and relaxed. Not everybody strives for Nirvāṇa , in this life or another one. It's about managing your emotions and thus your mind, not to be lead around by conditioned feelings that you spend your time rationalizing and calling it thinking. Mostly though, it's about exercise and mental conditioning called mindfulness, doing it is much more important than reading about it.

The statue symbolizes the Buddha's ( awakened one) moment of enlightenment when he touched the ground and the last of his instinctual conditioning fell away and death had no dominion, it has none if we no longer fear it. His ego dissolved and the keyhole we perceive the world through fell away as the universe opened up in all it's glory, there is no return, it is a permeant state of being.
