I have a few grows under my belt using a 3x3 gorilla grow tent, HLG 300 light and a small diy strip light. I started growing four plants in that area which was way too crowded and difficult to manage. I took the plant count down to two plants in a scrog which worked really well for me, but I noticed I was still a little crowded with two plants. After my last harvest I ripped everything down and built a new grow area. It's now 6x3 using 720 watts LED. I have the frame for the scrog already setup and will add the screen in next weekend when they get a little taller.

I'm running on Dinafem Critical + 2.0 and two Reserva Privada Cole Train. They're currently three weeks from seed. I pushed the nutrients too high a little early and the cole train did not like it and started showing signs of nitrogen toxicity, with the one in the middle looking the worst. I dropped them back down to 500ppm and they seem to be a lot happier and growing again. The critical on the left didn't seem to mind 700ppm at all.

Feel free to comment or critique.

Thanks flatrate. I'm stoked to see what I can pull from this room.

This grow has been weird considering how few problems I've had in the last two years. This grow struggled with germination... it took me eight seeds to get three plants. Where I had previously averaged 100% success with germination. The middle plant looks a lot worse today. I still think it's nitrogen toxicity from pushing the nutes too hard too early, but I could be wrong. I dropped the PPM down even further, hopefully it survives.

Hey LG,
Wow, such a nice looking space. Looks like you could do surgery in there.
Hope your plant snaps out of it (fingers crossed)
I'll be watching along.
Good Luck,
WillieP

The plant looks like it's slowly starting to recover. New growth doesn't have clawing leaves anymore. I don't think the old growth will recover though. I haven't been this aggressive/stupid with my nutes on previous grows so I have no clue how long it will take to fully recover. It's at 350ppm now and drinking. I'm going to wait until it shows signs of wanting more nutrients before I hit it again. Lesson learned.

Hey LG,
Do you monitor your PPM daily?
As you know, I'm no expert!! But the way I determine my PPM level is to monitor it every day, most times morning and night, and adjust accordingly. If the number is going up, they are drinking more than eating and the PPM is to high. Solution should be diluted. If the number is going down, they are eating more than they are drinking, and the solution should be strengthened. If the PPM is staying level, this shows you are at the sweet spot.
At least this is the way I understand it.
Just trying to help,
WillieP

Hi Willie, thanks for the advise!

I usually check my ppm and ph in the evening. Most of the time I do it daily, but there may be a day here or there that I'm busy and don't check.

Previously I've started my seeds in the cubes then move them into the buckets @ 350ppm after seven days. After they've made some roots and settled in, usually two weeks I'll bump it up to 500 ppm and again after another week to 700-900ppm depending on how the react and consume nutrients. This time I skipped the intermediary step and went straight to 700ppm from 350ppm. Since they barely had roots the water and nutrient levels weren't dropping. It was stupid and totally my fault, but I learned from it and I don't think I'll lose the plant.

Looks so awesome ! I am looking forward to seeing You work your new space . Congrats and Good luck !
Thanks Amber. Now I have to try and get the gorgeous buds like you and Willie have been getting. I think this is going to be a bit of a longer than normal veg. I'm planning on running it until close to the end of September before starting flower.

You are going to do fantastic !
we should be going into Flowering at Around the same Time and maybe harvesting around the same time! wow! This is going to be so much fun!!

I gotta get more active. I just saw you fired up again with chemdawg. How is the smoke from your blue dream harvest? This should be a staggered harvest for me. The critical plant should finish a couple weeks before the cole train. At least I won’t have to trim three plants on the same day.

did you manage to save them? I’m using the apera p60-z now. My blue labs ph pen still works well but I haven’t been using it since the apera pen does it all.

I’m pretty sure I’m over the hump now. The two plants are looking way better and consuming nutes and water as expected. It’s crazy how fast cannabis recovers... The problem was recognized on Friday and they recovered by Wednesday. I gave them a major pruning yesterday in preparation of dropping the screen on Saturday. When I was pruning I noticed that one of the cole train has three new branches where it was topped instead of two.

I also have an Amnesia auto going outdoors, that I’ll be harvesting this weekend. We had a big wind storm on Saturday that blew a garbage can into the plant. It tore off two branches and badly bent the main cola. Surprisingly it recovered too and looks great considering how bad it looked on Saturday.

thanks. That auto has been crazy and I didn’t expect to get anything from it. It started flowering when it was eight inches and it looked pathetic. I gave it megacrop one a week and blasted it with non ph’ed water straight from the hose. My tap water is around 7.5ph and almost 300ppm.

crazy how an indoor plant complains about every possible environmental factor that isn’t perfect and an outdoor plant is like bring it on!

I’m going to start playing clones shortly. I gave my old gorilla tent, lights and ventilation to my brother in law. He’s going to take clones from this grow and maintain mothers and clones for me. I still have to buy a cloned and figure that out lol.

how did you recognize your ph was off? That must be difficult to diagnose since clones don’t normally look that great until rooted

Hey Willie,

Yes it done. I've included a pic below. It looked really good when it got the cut but the quality started to show as it dried. It has quite a few seeds and tastes kinda like perfume, really odd flavour. I can't see myself smoking it, maybe for use in edibles?
