Ahhh...that's more like it.

Well, I suppose these Sativa-dominant Greepoint plants love the heat, as long as they get enough water. They certainly seem content right now.

I noticed last week the vertical growth slowed down a bit--they were doing a foot plus for a while there each week but it was more like 6-8 inches last week. Do they slow down a bit as they enter into flower?

Yes but they will still grow for a bit even in flower

How’s the flowering progress? I’ve got a couple sativa dominant plants still not showing and it’s making me nervous...these are 9-10 week strains.

Sorry, missed your last post till just now

I'm not seeing a lot of visible progress yet. Left town yesterday, back tomorrow evening, maybe I'll notice more.

Yesterday it did seem like the Tomahawk's pistils were fatter, longer, and more numerous. But nothing that looks unmistakeably like a flower to me.

If they start flowering this week I'll be a week behind my projected timeline, which means harvesting the Copper Chem as late as November 12. We've had some extraordinarily warm falls lately, so it might work out, but becomes more of a nail-biter for sure.

As of today we're at 10 hours of darkness here.

So one of my plants has these little yellow spots coming up on the leaves, I've been adding this special super secret blend somebody gave me that has nitrogen and other stuff. It's in a smaller pot but it's one of my better plants, the other one is still pretty yellow although New growth is getting fairly green so I think the special mix is helping. I'm enjoying the process of watching and learning and frankly the one that I have just pretty much left alone is doing the best oh, the one that I've been messing around with is the yellow one LOL.
I know that I really need to get bigger pots for next year.

End of Week 17--just got back from a weekend away and I definitely see some changes in the pistils. Seems like maybe we're on the verge of flowering now, but you tell me because this is my very first run. Something's definitely going on with the Tomahawk:

tomahawk-flowering.jpg

Vertical growth was big again this week, the Chinook Haze grew another foot and is now well over 8 feet tall, and 4 of the others broke 8 feet this week too. Am I going to end up with 10-footers? Wow--what would they be like if I hadn't topped them 3 times?!

Looking good overall--not seeing any caterpillars but I will spray bT again this week just to keep them at bay. They really seem to be thriving now--hope things continue to go well during the critical flowering phase! Am a bit concerned about the late finishing, some of these may be will into November before they're ready, but will hope for good weather and do whatever I can to protect them from hazards.

Here's the whole gang (dusk shot again, that's why they're looking a little droopy--just got home this evening).

Supposed to maybe be some rain day after tomorrow--hooray! Been a hell of a dry stretch here.

I tried to force mine to flower by introducing superphosphate (even though I know it can cause lockout), I'm near latitude 60 and also been annoyed that so far only pistils for two months! Really worried they won't finish on time because the fall rains/cold will be coming Hope your buds start coming soon!

Never heard of that technique. Didn't really work?

I hear you about the fall weather. I think I'm on my way now, at least the Tomahawk and Cherry wine are, hopefully the others are close behind. About a week later than I'd planned--with some luck and careful tending through the fall hopefully I'll make it. Good luck to you. Nights are getting longer fast.

I use it to force my Chili's to flower. Thought I'd give it a try once.

Got a few questions:

What bug is this? Anything to worry about?
bug.jpg

Turns out I should've spaced these plants further apart--they're growing into each other a bit. And they're bushy as hell. Should I thin out some of the interior foliage for airflow? Here's the south facing side of three 8+ footers:
south-line.jpg

And here's how they look from the north side:

You can see how dense and bushy things are getting:

And here's a shot of the nearby brook where I get their water--looks like I'll need to find a new water source! Last week I dipped out of this pool with a bucket but at this point I think it's gotten too shallow to even fill a 2g bucket. Never seen it this dry here.

Plants look good. Personally, I wouldn’t touch them. Based on the pics, you can see right through them so airflow and mold/mildew prevention should be fine. I don’t see any reason to trim anything more unless you have a bunch of larfy growth/sucker branches on the inside which doesn’t appear to be the case.

No idea on the bug. Doesn’t look like a plant eater but I’ve never seen one before so can’t say for sure. Looks kind of like some type of boring beetle. Keep an eye out for eggs....I found two leaves with a good number of eggs. I think they’re stink bugs but not 100%.7C644646-6559-48DC-8306-A112E66784CF.jpeg
