I try to remember that people, whomever they are, have their struggles, hopes, fears, insecurities etc. It is so easy to fall into the trap of viewing others as bits and pieces within our lives, almost like NPCs in a video game. It's very easy to become angry, impatient and callous with others when you view them this way. It's not as easy when you consider that they might cry themselves to sleep every night because their husband is dying of heart disease, or that they might not have noticed cutting you off in traffic because they just found out they lost the job thats been supporting their family for 25 years. You just don't know.

I could never be president. I think it takes a certain kind of mind to strive for so much control over so many, and I don't have that kind of mind. I'm with Douglas Adams on this one.... the desire for power should automatically disqualify you from holding positions of power
