Whoa what is happening!!!

Calcium. Some of that is looking to be phosphorous deficiency. The purple stem petioles, leaf veins and more of a patching than spotting. I think a combo of the two. Iron deficient as well

Guy,
You don't need ph up. I don't own any. Just add in some of your tap water...

Which brings us to that issue. Hardness is over 400 ppm and I doubt that your tap water quality has improved over the last two years.

I wouldn't try doing hydro with that water. You have several options including an RO unit. If you mix your tap with either ro or distilled 1:1 that will drop you to 200 ppm which is doable.

That’s a good idea. Walmart 5 gallons of ro is around $1.50. Mix with tap. I do this when I’m running low on ro water and have to water my plants. My water is funky.

Haven’t phed it at all up or down it’s at 5.9 now. Currently my plan was going to get a few gallons of ro water because I’m still setting up my R.O. System so I have non currently on hand and was going to empty my res to maybe half because as of right now I’m sitting at like 1071ppms and was going to refill with ro water hopefully to drop my ppms to a reasonable level so I can put the other one back in I am currently out of nutes an it’ll be a few days before I get more. Thoughts ideas? Open to everyone.

THis is why I don’t mess with hydro or fuck with ppp meters in my soil or any of that. It gets people in trouble. Soil with dolomite lime blended. Organic. Forget ph. Forget ppm. Throw away the crap and enjoy your grow. As for now..I agaves no advise. Lol

Right on. I’m new, still learning read all I could and went with hydro over soil. If I don’t like it I think I meant go back I only did one grow with soil a few years back and wasn’t a huge fan of it. Thanks though!

But did you take into account that you may have not did the best job with the soil grow? Man, you get a tried and true simple soil/soil recipe with simple ferts and the shit grows itself as long as you can keep temps in range. With the simple mix I use, I don’t see deficiencies until the end. That’s not to toot my own horn but I can almost neglect them and they look great. My first few grows sucked big time. Couldn’t not even get them to a finish before they died. I know where u are at.

Draining half and filling it will drop ppm in half. Maybe just drain 1/4 and use a combination of ph down tap and bottled water to get your ph where you want it.

@danjac82 Hey some of us like to mess with this stuff. And many organic grows are problematic too. So...take that! 8)

Honestly I can’t see the roots to say really. They are 10in net pots with Hydroton I can only see a few plants with roots though they are all are white.

Problematic when you fuck up. Not as easy to fuck up though. But hey whatever makes you feel like you’re being scientific or whatever. Keep doing your thing

When you get the r/o filter and set it up the first thing to do before you turn any water on is to disconnect the water line between the carbon filter and the paper membrane and have it set up to drain into something or down a sink to purge out the black carbon shit so it doen't go into the expensive membrane. And do this every time you replace the carbon filter in the future.

Had to make a little hat for the empty bucket so the lights don’t heat my water up. Hah. Got these other little ones showing yellow tops an some bottoms I wad told it was due to light burn or bleaching because I’m running all LEDs? Seems to be growing fine though so I dunno?. Thanks for all the help and suggestions from everyone! Oh, I’ve also purchased a R.O. System as well. Not the greatest but I think for now it’ll do the job. Hydro-Logic Stealth RO150.
Man, i got the growBoss RO, and my PPMs are less then 10 from Tap water, (160ppm unRo'd)

also, that small plant shouldnt be getting more then 250ppms of MegaCrop, even that is on the highside. The stuff is stronger then growers realize.

Thanks! I think I’m going to do that and also let that one sit on the side lines for a little bit then change my res out with ro and nutes however I’m actually fresh out of megacrop I need to order more.

Yeah yeah yeah lite burn iron def mag def nit def yeah yeah yeah you have all those and more not the lite burn in actuality but somebody said something about the light but anyways..................cuz your ppm is way to the moon high for those plants .. Correct the ppm issue and make sure the ph, water temp, environment and everything else is on point and the plant will recover. One thing to do is to dip out some nuted water and top feed the plants once a day till the roots get big enough to hit the water line. This is a dwc type set up right and not an ebb and flow? But anyways top feed once a day so the roots dont dry out.

You bought megacrop just for the fact its like the cheapest nute to get correct? Not the easiest nute to work with for a beginner might want to get a different line of nutes that is easier to use.

You should look into foliar fedding some epsom salt once every few days also.

Agreed.... megacrop isnt for beginners

The stuff kicked my ass a couple of times cuz I didnt know how to use it..

This is a live and learn sort of thing. Growing.

Just went by the instructions given and flushed it for about 30mins or so. So far it’s dropped my ppm from 330ish to 56 so I’d say it’s doing it’s job pretty well. Hah. It’s rdwc I’m not sure if that matters. I chose mc because of the positive reviews not because it was cheap, price wasn’t an issue could have jumped on the AN train but didn’t if I wanted I did as much reading as I could on the product which had little to non bad reviews so I went with it.

Also come to find out one of the buckets, lucky me it had the same plant with all the problems wasn’t draining properly so it was getting blasted with nutes and not draining properly which probably caused some problems and mixed with myself over feeding led to its sicklyness. Live and learn I guess.
