Meh, I'm not even mad or anything, I'm just wondering why people do this shit. Why come on here and act delusional...go out and be lucid, and you can accomplish more.

I don't know either Stoney, But hell might as well have fun and go along with it. You know there was a point in my life when I stopped fighting everything and I was free . . . Then I picked up and started the battle again. The nice thing now is every once and a while I just let go and see the beauty and wonderment around me. People used to say I was crazy but now I think everyone else is crazy.:peace:

It seems like music and poetry hint at the divine truth in the best way words can. You can feel music in your heart and soul, you can't blame because I'm too young. You can't blame me its the pictures on the TV screen . . .

I think we're all accountable for our own actions, man.Being crazy is just self indulgence.Let's use the insanity plea as an example. If they were truly unaware, they would be catatonic. So when they murder someone, (like a serial killer, for example)then say they had no control over their actions because they were insane, I say bullshit.Giving in to the insanity is the ultimate form of self indulgence. And if you are self aware, you can pause and stop yourself. It's just that they don't want to.Am I rambling? Not even stoned.

I agree but self awareness is a challenge for most, in fact lack of awareness is probably the source of many sufferings. There is a line you cross though into insanity when your negative actions and energy perpetuate until "burned" out. Think about it have you ever been enraged? Would someone "reasoning" with you have stopped that?

Cultivating awareness is something we should all do. If we taught simple awareness exercises to children who have open minds in grade school I think we would solve a lot of todays problems.

Like I said before to this dude there is fine line between insanity and Genius. Look at some of the amazing artists like VanGough, Michealangelo, Galileo, and more these guys lived on the edge of insanity and more like them drifted too far in . . .:peace:

Yes, I've been enraged, but it's me who brings me back.I'm just saying, there's no reason you can't seize control. You are the master of your destiny, captain of your ship...the minute you stop the struggle, you've given in.And many people just try to act crazy as a way to push people away,or set themselves above.

For sure, My ex has been calling me from the hospital for a couple weeks now. She will not take her meds until I come see her. Needless to say I love the hell out of her and supported her for years through her bi-polar bouts but I'm not going to see her. It's her turn to pull herself out but she is in an absolute psychosis. I think there are levels of awareness and she if definitely not completely aware of reality. Sometimes the captains is out to lunch and it takes a while for him to get back is all I'm saying . . . .
So a moment of passion or rage I would consider a moment of insanity, it just lasts longer for some people thats all. Now as far as legal BS well I don't really care, I do think it is more productive to study people with these problems than jail them however. Same with the whole penal system it does not do anything but make people more violent.

So maybe some people choose not to seize control and then drift to the place of not return . . . I don't know but we just zapped the guy who might have been able to answer that question for us . . .:-?

I guess that's another thing; I don't believe in addiction.I think you can pull yourself back, if you REALLY WANT TO.But you, and only you, can do it.I've done some hard drugs that folks say mess up your life. But they can only do that if you let it.I guess it just comes from my upbringing...my dad didn't like weakness, and expected us to be tough. It was drilled into my head that I was responsible for my own actions.I think I take an inordinatew amount of pride in my control over my own mind, so much so that maybe I'm a little unsympathetic to folks who show weakness. That in itself is a personality flaw.:-|

I'm sorry to hear about that. But the fact that she's calling you and WANTING you is in fact evidence of self awareness. If you are not aware of yourself, you do not indulge yourself. The only way you are completely unaware is in states of unconcious...extreme ones like catatonia or coma. The self is not indulged. Now, I'm not sure as far as a coma what the level of awareness is, but in true catatonic states, there is not necessarily anything physically wrong, and yet they do not move, no matter how you place them, even for comfort. No self indulgence,no awareness of the self. These are just my opinions.

I guess what I'm trying in my bumbling way to refer to here is a catatonic stupor.Catatonia - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia Apparently, any number of things can cause catatonia. They don't even recognize it as a separate illness.Basically, I think it's just absence.(once again, these are my non phd opinions.) IMO, a catatonic stupor is a sacrifice of the self.

I agree stoney that there is SOME awareness. She has called me but you have to understand that she will do this because other people are "spys" trying to poison her. Then she might call me and accuse me of poisoning her. So her awareness is up and down. The last time she was in the hospital I used various meditation techniques to get her to the point she would trust me to take her meds. I had to go into the hospital twice a day for a few days to help her take her meds. I think this is something you really have to see first hand to understand that this is more complex than you think. The human mind is an enigma and very fragile, even your own mind. Connection to the inner and outer is vital but so easy to lose . . .
