LED strip gurus around here? Stop by and check out this vertical setup that needs tweaking!!

Less than 10 yrs ago all you needed to grow was a qp or hp but now pounds are the new ounce & Oz's are the new quarters... PS I'm a little ahead of my time lol like I said this is for LONG TERM

You may be trying something different I’m sure everyone will give you that. However

I suspect you haven’t grown cannabis before based on reading through some of your threads. Your attempting a highly percise aeroponic setup that depends on immaculate canopy training. Good luck I’ll tune in as I’m interested but I suspect some hard times ahead testing it.

Soo you have caught on to my master plan lol YES this will be a first attempt & I am positive I will have like 80% of RIU on my thread to help me reach 3gpw lol IN ALL HONESTY.. I know my first run won't hit 3 but I'll bet that even the noob of noobs will pull 2+gpw with this system in his sleep! It's 2019 not 1999 lol more accessible information more experiments done more easy to learn now

I will need all VERT growers on RIU to stop by and tune in to make sure I don't burn the cereal while I'm cooking it :bigjoint::blsmoke:bongsmilie

This thread is really just blueprint and rough draft.. I will do a full DiY & first grow journal of the 3gpw Vert tower

Yeah, he is an "aussie" too that's the main reason I will ask him if he is interested. The company owner is also a member of this forum and I would keep my hand on fire for him. He put a lot of work into his boards and the pre production boards work already pretty well. The first regular charge of boards is currently in production and have better bins like the samples.
Would make more sense to test the final layouts. Maybe a few weeks until he get them, maybe less.
The boards get assembled in Malaysia btw by a Nichia partner. Nichia have helped him a lot with other things too. Really nice to deal with them...
Hey mate, the boards are actually designed and assembled in Australia. The first run is currently queued up and we're hoping they will be ready next week. (Actually, we were hoping to get them last week, but patience is a virtue.) As you mentioned, they are not Cutter boards, but were designed by a few growers who wanted to build a better flowering board using a mix of high CRI white-phosphor LEDs

@TEKNIK, we'd be very interested in having the boards tested. A good percentage of the first run has been pre-sold, but there will be boards left over. If there's any continuing interest, we can do another run. Here's a teaser. Full specs will be out soon, but Random is correct, they are 227W boards and have matching heatsinks. Combined colour is 3000K with an even spread of light. There are three different types of LEDs on these boards, even though there appear to be only two. Here is the test spectrum - the production spectrum will have a little more near-UV (400nm) and a touch more blue and cyan

Do you have pics? Or ideas to help... I am trying to have 9 light points hanging down .. rotating clockwise ...

As my LED family knows, narrowing down your components for a diy light can seem overwhelming.. it is almost time for me to start up so now I need to be putting in orders.. I've had a couple ideas shared before to me about the "super" light I'm trying to build.. not sure if it's still the latest tech.. so guys I've got the diy vertical tower garden & want to line LEDs vertically around each PVC (I'll tag a picture)

My lights will be hanging from the ceiling all around it though.. more than 4 light bars per PVC.. my goal is to be more efficient than anything else.. money is not a issue here, I think the Q series strips are still the most efficient strip on the market today??? Not sure.. BUT I will have 2800 flower watts & 4 PVC pipes so that's 700watt per 6' tower.. I don't want to make the mistake of buying the wrong strip. IfIf am trying to maximize efficiency what would you recommend.. thanks in advance.. I'm guessing I'll have to DIY a fixture similar to this

But circular and have leds going all around PVC.. really not like that... More like a light mover racks that shaped like a star to move lights forward or backwards...

More like this but I'll alsobe able to slide them closer or away

That's the idea to have them dangling and rotating around canopy...

Let me know when you can bring one too me, I can test it pretty fast and you can watch how it's being tested. I'm in Melbourne.

Long time ago, circa 2002 leds were so expensive that I thought that as they weigh a little..I could use less leds by rotating them in a circular way over the canopy…. in order to acomplish that I use a rotor, in the axis of the rotorThere was like a big horizontal fan Blade...well too much for my bad english I Will use a pic…
IMG_20190331_194657.jpg

The ball bearings act like an slip ring to let the current pass throught a rotating axis...a Little tricky to build but it worked.. But… maintaining all this rotating was difficult due to the equilibrium of the rotating Blade... Anyway.I abandoned the Project..leds become cheaper… and a rotating device over the plants...was a little mess..

Anyone recognize the second one?
