Illinois medical marijuana card wait time

So, Columbia Care of Illinois is offering the provisional access. They said after applying online you receive a letter in the mail within a week with the barcode on it to scan. The gentleman I spoke with said the letter has a yellow letterhead, with the same information as a medical card, just the paper form. So, from what he says, they are granting provisional access.

then I guess you will have to drop your lawsuit
It's not really a lawsuit. I just asked to be able to get meds, I mean how could they even fight it. But, I would have to change dispensaries and get this letter that I was never given. So, essentially all of us that applied before Dec. 1st are tough out of luck I guess.

So who is getting these letters? No one on the Facebook pages or here is.

anything at this point would be speculation. 150 day program that will allow provisional for 90 days , there is no wording in the law that excludes anyone applied at any time. just the opposite , for backlogged apps that have not yet been approved

Where we are in the queue it really doesnt matter but if they are only sending them to people who applied after December 1st that’s BS for late October and November apps.

yes .agree. if you read this forum , your led to believe a program that will last 150 days wont start until after 60+ days have passed , and then will only be for applicants that applied after December 1. It does sound like Illinois , but the truth is ….no one knows yet. and seems when you talk to someone that has knowledge , or should , they get confused with MCPP and OAPP.

Recap: app was confirmed received on 10/3 and my check was cashed 12/13.

Decided to call today based on the QP# stuff posted earlier and it turns out my app is processing, not yet fully approved/sent for printing. So, it looks like they are still processing the first few days of october, and with the holiday coming up my guess is I see the card maybe end of the 1st week of jan or 2nd week of Jan.
My check was also cleared 12/13 App was received 10/1 or 10/2. one person said 10/1 and another said different. Anyways hope it is soon for us! I called Friday and he said it was "processing." I hope it comes before end of year!

does anyone find it strange that we haven't heard of a single app approved for October ?? last month we heard the end of August with just a few September coming in as approved =sent for printing

Some good news you can call idph and they will give you your QP # and you can check on the Cannabis Pilot website and check the status. Mine was printed / shipped Friday. So even when they say approved does mean its actually shipped it seems like their is a week from the time approved till sent to print then shipped...

I feel it has to be Printed and Shipped the Same day or close to it. That day can be 4 to 10 days after Approval I would say, then a few days to get to you in The Mail. I think Approvals sit in a Pile and Depending on Amount they can Print and Mail in a Day That is How long the Backup is to get to us After Approval. Many months back there was a Problem with The Printer, I think The Hampster got Sick and Fell off the Wheel, but No Cards went out for Several Days We were told.

I’m nervous that I need to verify my 11/10 app is approved...I was dreaming that I would have my card by Christmas... really discouraging if October apps haven’t got cards yet.
Yeah, you probably won’t get it until February. Sorry, but October hasn’t been approved and with Christmas and New Years, it’ll slow down. Try not to get too anxious or upset, it sucks it’s a slow ass process
