Illinois medical marijuana card wait time

In all seriousness, sit back and wait... It’s been taking 80-90 (closer to 90) days to get your card in hand.

I applied 3 days before you; I’m hoping I’ll see my card the 2nd week of Feb.
Well best of luck! Should we expect a application approval or anything?

no. awhile back some said they received an email , but I don't think accurate. you can call them after 45 days , but wait till 70 days. provisional should kick in soon , to relieve backlogged apps @ IDPH. for MCPP

I think the emails are to people who email and never get a non-automated reply, if they feel like it.

And provisional access is?
It would give a qualifying patient that applies online and pays the card fee provisional access to purchase at dispensaries until they get their card in the mail. However, it has yet to be implemented because the IDPH reps were told that it probably won’t start until February.

How about IDPH workers don't know what it is and JCAR may not know it exists?
I have emailed several people , with knowledge , that think its already going on ! NORML thinks so , Chicago Tribune , and a few others...I think that's disturbing. and that's the truth

That's some investigative reporting. I would expect NORML to know what's actually going on.

Here is one reply I received about an article I read , MSPP / TYPO FOR MCPP
Thank you for the interest in my article and the follow up. At this point the provisional registration for MSPP patients should be in place. The Emergency Administrative Rules regarding the Medical Cannabis Pilot Program and Opioid Alternative Pilot Program were submitted December 1st and are noted as being effective December 3rd. Information regarding that can be found here:

It should be noted that this does not mean that the IDPH will start approving Medical Cannabis registry cards that were submitted prior to the approval of the Emergency Rules. Rather, there is a different process for seeking to purchase as a provisional patient. If you are a patient seeking provisional registration, I would suggest looking at the revised Section 1290.430, regarding what you will need to do before purchasing medical cannabis as a provisional patient and contacting the dispensary that you would be purchasing from for assistance in what you will need to do/bring to the dispensary.

Thanks,

Mike

Maybe they should talk to dispensaries or clinics and see if anyone has actually received a document to give them provisional access.
And we know for a fact people already in the online system haven't.

Wow... Invite them here to see all the people that are being told the same. I wish a journalist in IL was concidering getting a card - and would document their experience vs. what people believe about Provisional.

Multiple dispensaries in Chicago are allowing purchase with simple proof card is on the way, at least that is what I am hearing from friends up north.
