Where did you find the inspiration for running your system like you do?
Is there also perhaps a person who did it the same as you are doing it now.

In the 1990s a friend of mine built an op in his house and then showed me how to do it. This was in buckets with clay balls, recirculating. I have stayed with hydro ever since.

A lot of people do SoGs in soil and rockwool cubes etc. Al B. Fuct has a lot of good threads in the hydro section. Some of the info is a little old but in terms of environment especially he covers everything. The only thing I do differently is no medium, and lighting has changed over the last few years.

Thanks, mate! The bubble cloner is 100% old school I would say. It's all long-haired hippy magic, lol!

Okay, then I have some hope to find at least one or two blueberry phenos in my 5 pack.

50% strength is not available at least not without more effort but I can get 12% from the drug store and can use 15ml every 25l. It's about the same concentration and should work. Thanks again!

Next cab off the rank looking for mums is some Greenpoint gear. Nice, healthy plants from seed.

I think that will do it for this little journal. Everything has been covered and a few runs documented. Just gets boring really as its the same thing over and over. Happy growing all bongsmilie

Depends on the wattage but I like to run them as bare cobs, no lenses or reflectors as close as possible. Right now they are at about 80W per cob (1000W total) and they are about 60cm (2 feet) away.

When I first put the rooted clones into the tray, if I want them to stretch I will raise the lights quite high, maybe 90cm. If I want try to restrict stretch I will run them lower wattage and much closer.

In the interest of closure, and to satisfy my OCD the final dry weight for the last SoG are...

3x3 flood and drain tray, 500W Vero COBs start to finish, Canna Classic A&B, PK 13/14, H2O2, 24 plants, zero veg.

SBA (20) - 485g
GBOG (2) - 15g
GSC (1) - 15g
GDP (1) - 38g

Total: 553g

Happy Growing bongsmilie :bigjoint: :blsmoke: :leaf:

Hmmm, yummy!

You could feminize her with some colodial silver spray, mate. It's pretty easy and cheap to make it DIY or you buy it in the pharmacy. 50ppm in enough! For a DIY CS generator you only need some .999 silver(I prefer twisted wires), a 9v/1A e3ay wall plug driver, a jar and a pair of croco clamps to make something that looks like this...My Colodial Silver Generator.png
Now fill in some aqua dest, plug the driver in and let it run 12-24h to get this..
ready to use CS looks like this.jpg

It's a solution with 15-20ppm silver ions.

If you find a keeper take two cuttings and spray one of them once or two times the day beginning with FD1. Within 30-40 days the sprayed plant developes a lot of male flowers between the fem ones. When they begin to open and show nanners collect some male flowers, dry them and sweep them through a sieve to separate the pollen and fertilze the other plant manually. Both plants will produce lots of femi seeds(exact genetic copies) so you can get away with only one cutting but they look weakened after spraying and have to recover first and that could have negative effects on the seeds. That's why I prefer to do it always with two cuttings. The whole process takes a bit longer (1-2 weeks) because at the beginning the sprayed plant seems to almost die. For this reason the 2nd cutting goes a bit later into flowering.
Usually you can collect male flowers between day 40 and 50 and this way I can fertilize the 2nd one around day 35.

Here is an old thread with detailed how-to, pics and stuff on icmag but it's a long one; the interesting stuff starts on page 42..

Nice stuff man

2x4 F&D tray with 100L res flooded every couple of hours with Canna Vega A&B, dosed with ~20ml 50% H2O2 every 3 days. Current keeper mums are a Dinafem OG Kush and Samsara seeds Sweet Black Angel (Black Domina x Super Silver Haze). Both loved by my circle.

They are lit by 2 x 2x2 DIY EB strip lights that run a max of ~220W each. Mostly they are run at about 50% to keep timings right.

Clones

As I do zero veg SoGs for production I need to have 24 well rooted clones ready to go precisely when the previous flower run is chopped so aero cloner it is. DIY esky version. Works a treat. Tap water only + H2O2 and if I need to keep the clones in there for extended periods for whatever reason I would run a weak veg solution so they hit the ground running when going to flower.

I take large clones:

Whack em in the cloner:

10 Days later they look like this and are ready to go. This is the minimum amount of roots I need for my style of SoG, More is good, less is bad.

Hey mate, yeah I have looked into that but I use Gibberellic acid to reverse females because you dont need to use it as much and you can also use it to pop old seeds.

On this occasion though I am keen to see what expressions come out in the F2s rather than trying to replicate the clone. I think there is even better hidden away in the genes :weed:

Nice stuff man

I was wondering if you let the pump for your cloner run 24/7 ?
Or does it run on a timer as well?
If so, what is the schedule for the timer on/off?
