Party Cup Inquires

Only a center hole is allowed no other modifications! No little hose to create a little bottom reservoir, no 5 holes, no wicks and no shoe strings. A saucer is allowed and watering from below too. We already had this discussion in the last comp, brotherz! I don't think the rules changed..

I would also rather make a side hole to use it as mini hempy or use a little pump to feed it 5-6 times the day.. but, yeah, its not allowed so I have to do this manually like all the other members. Time consuming...? .. yes, and you are forced to stay at home most of the time ... but rules are rules.

Holidays during a competition ...? Really..? Where are you come from ..?
You can do coco DTW but hand watered; that would be allowed. You can also do DWC as long as you don't use an external reservoir. Leaving the house ...? Maybe only in the first 2 or 3 week or so
I got a job that requires me to leave town now and then..
Maybe dwc is the way to go then..
But i would need to find some lids.
Or do a complete hassle to get this stadium cups..(the only ship inside U.S so i need an U.S postal adres to ship it to so they will ship it to my country..)
We'll see

Wtf? So I can't put 2" of air line in my cup but the hydro guys get 6" of air line, an air stone, and an external pump? What kind of bs is that? Growers skill only? Then make it soil only and no nutrients under cfl bulbs.

And I'm going to use my fancy light because I'm not that great of a grower and need all the help I can get!

The impliments you list are not restricted to hydro.

True, but I feel that if people get to use that equipment I should be able to make little hempy cups. It definitely feels like this contest favors some sort of hydro setup. Yes, I know some contests in the past have been won by soil guys but I feel the advantage goes to hydro. I was merely trying to put hempies to the test, but it is apparently not allowed.

There is an extra air pump on my shelf I may have to put to good use this round.

It's hard for soil growers to compete against hydro.
It is an easier grow. Many days I would spend a few minutes watering and be done with it for the day.

I have little chance of getting a prize so I compete against the other soil growers and if I pick off any hydro guys I see that as a bonus.

I wish it was any light with a 5 or 6 week veg under any schedule lighting until a date that we all switched to 12/12.
Then hopefully we would all flower at the same time and have no concern about what anybody did during veg but rules are rules.

I don't think a newspaper approach will work with @The Dawg.
He needs to be buttered up.

You're forgetting how much work it is to do hydro in this comp... no external water res is permitted... so you have to be checking PH and topping off water several times a day.
I have a 13 gallon reservoir of nutrient water I use to feed my other plants, so it seems to me the easiest way to do a hydro is just dump the water out of the cup and put in fresh every day or 2. *Seems* easy.

I have done test grows in 16 oz cups and depending on the nutrients, the PH can swing wildly within eight hours. Later in the grow it also was to the point I had to add water up to three times a day.

@The Dawg What do you say? It doesn't appear my cup is breaking any rules other than the hole not being in the center. If my cups have their holes in the center (with the little riser hoses of course) they should be allowed - right?
