I’ve made some concentrate from Everclear. I have not decarbed it yet but right now it is very sticky. I’m afraid if i suck this into a syringe after decarbing I’ll never get it out of the syringe. This is a trial run for a family member who has cancer
Is there something I can add to the extract to make it more manageable in a syringe?

I have never done it but been planning various extract methods for a while.
With meds don't people use a carrier oil like coconut oil or something?
@Lucky Luke posted a method for capsules the other day in the concentrates section, maybe have a gander over there.
Like I say I know nothing, but having been on here since 2011 I was shocked to discover only last week an entire section of this forum I had never come across before.. Mind was blown.

I haven’t seen it either. I make canna coconut oil all the time. .... it’s really nice and potent to me but someone here said it wasn’t right for meds.... idk. I think I may go back to pressing rosin. The whole evaporation thing with everclear is dangerous for me..... neighbors...

@Lucky Luke do you have any suggestions? I just want to add a small amount of something to thin the concentrate a bit. My father in law whom the meds are for can not handle a highly potent med, so thinking my extract somewhat I don’t think will be a problem. I’m just not sure what to cut it with. I used everclear for my extraction and I used a griddle to evaporate off at 120*f

There is nothing wrong with coconut oil, it is just not the best for getting every last bit of the goodies.
There is a nice video on youtube where they test a number of oils against each other.
It is pretty easy to make something like gummy babies. If you take a gram of concentrate and make a hundred gummies, they will all be about 10mg each. Which he should either be able to handle or will be able to handle in a day or 3.

If someone needs cannabis for medical reasons other than pain or mental issues, I recommend full fresh plants squeezed through an olive press or good juicer. This way we alter nothing and take nothing away from the meds, and it doesn't make you high.

I use a hot plate magnetic stirrer to mix my concentrate into olive oil it's very simple and Ive been making a 50/50 blend lately of gg4 extract and hemp cbd "mother liquor" which is basically the feed stock/ end trails of making cbd distillate.

I use measured amounts of olive oil to achieve somewhere around 20mg of concentrate per ml of liquid. Is this for sublingual use?
I was thinking either sublingual or something where He could spread a grain of rice sized piece on a cracker or something like that. It’s a trial run For him and I

He has a slow moving prostate cancer and he has tried my 20 mg candy and it was too much for him. I’m sure I made a mistake by using a sativa.

The stuff I give my father (severe rhuematoid arthritis) is a sublingual. He only takes 2 drops under the tongue and he doesn't get high, but it alleviates his pain tremendously. No more trammadol or Vicodin for him!

He is going to need MUUUUCH more than he can handle in medibles...
You can also look into the suppositories you get for sale, some like taking the undecarbed juice, also won't make you high and allow you to get 10 times more meds in than you could if they were active.

I would like to keep it as potent as possible so that he Hass to take as little at a time as possible

What is the goal? To just give comfort, or to fight the cancer....
You don't have to decarb for the latter.

Then it is most potent if you use as much of the plant as you can... don't focus on the THC or CBD part...
The plant works best in unadulterated form. Getting high is nice... (I'm always stoned), but it is not a marker for doing anything good (I have a host of health issues and am classified as critically ill).
