My opinion is that quality will always sell at a high price. Even in Los Angeles the top tier cannabis still goes for 15-18$ gram. Mind you it’s a very small percent that see those numbers .

Those $1.50 grams are off the same plants that the $10g buds come from but because of their lack of bag appeal they go cheap. Same f'n buzz tho so if I had to buy pot I'd be all over that kind of deal!

Everything other than the best buds I grow get a quick snip to remove sugarless leaves then go in the oil pile anyway so bag appeal is for snobs afaic.

I don't buy a bottle wine for its label.

The dispensary in question sells 1/2 pounds of shake for $200 CAD. I'm very tempted to get some for cooking and/or hash. Heck, even for smoking - I prefer a mild buzz most of the time anyway. Might be nice to relax and smoke an entire joint without getting totally fucked.

On the other hand, eventually I'll have plenty of my own shake...

I just take small hits in my pipe for toking. I prefer eating mine in the form of cocobudder.

With decent shake you can get about 6g of kief/oz then still extract the last of the resin with whatever solvent you prefer for some decent oil too. I combine those to make nice black hash tho I prefer decent BHO for the oil part.

I've been a daily toker for almost 50 years and still get baked from a couple hits in the pipe. Having a dozen different strains to choose from keeps my tolerance low. My tolerance got real low after a small stroke a few years back and my insomnia disappeared so there was a silver lining to that dark cloud. :) Not that I recommend it as a treatment. :D

Weed these days is so strong. I either use my vaporizer at around 190C and go very easy on it, or I roll a spliff at about a 50:50 ratio with some mild, very high quality pipe tobacco. I still miss those times, back in the day, when I would roll a nice fatty and just take my time smoking the whole thing - really appreciate the flavour, the smell and the whole ritual. If I do that today, I end up completely paranoid and anti-social. Very, very unpleasant. I still don't really "get" this mainstream desire for THC % in the 20s and 30s. How much fun is it to take a single toke? That's like drinking a single rye & ginger. Fuck that.

Sorry to hear about your stroke - but glad to hear there was a silver lining.
