It is from hlg it’s just through a wholesaler. They have been selling out for awhile. It’s hard to keep it in stock it’s why I bought some of the 600’s instead of building them.

I know its from HLG, but its like 40$ more as well. The one listed on HLG is 308$ for the 260. NVm they may have reduced the price. When I bought mine it was 360$. Some boshit

Quick question; I have 8 45w CFLs available (2 units with 4 lights each) 5500k.

Would the plants really benefit from having these as supplementary lights?

I guess the better question would be, would the extra 360 watts of power usage be a waste of electricity? 5500k isn't ideal for flowering, after all.

I actually used one unit (4 lights) during most of the veg as supplemental, but I did notice significantly more heat in the tent.

Swap all to 2700k WARM bulbs ... They have more red in the spectrum for flowering.
Surrounding the plant(s) is recommended as CFL have poor penetration past 6".

I know 2700k is better for flowering, but I'm not spending any more money on this first grow. I've got 5500k right now. Waste of energy?

Note: these are CRI >91 (photography) CFL bulbs, so they should have a full spectrum, unlike many typical home-use CFLs.
