I bought a "blurple" - what can I expect?

Jesus Christ. I've already read all the blurple-bashing threads. WTF?

I bought a fucking blurple and I am curious what results I can expect. How is that not clear to some of you?

As much as I loathe the idea of "safe spaces", maybe there should be a dedicated forum for blurple users on this forum. Or, did I miss it?

Cmh 315 Watts, have you ever looked at the spectrum of qb lights?
Spectrum is very important that's why you look at the Spectrum no matter what light you buy weather it is blurple or c o b or whatever like you are going to use plenty of decent blurple out there that use the correct Spectrum with no wasted greens.

In agriculture green isn’t all wasted and the sun being the best form of light it’s best to try and reproduce it completely.

You can expect mediocre plants and mediocre yields, you will get some pot for sure, I started with them and at the time I was happy with what they produced, but eventually I upgraded, as will you, eventually...

One thing I did notice with the blurples is that some phenos just do not like being under them for some reason same cuts loves the t5 and mh, just hates the blurple

If you have an air compressor, blow out the fixture after every grow, you' be surrised what can collect in those things

There's allot more to grow lights then UV. What is the PAR light they put out or do they lie about those figures?
I already know Meizhi lied about the PAR values of my specific light. it was tested by a guy on youtube.

There's nothing I can do about that unless I replace the light or supplement with more light, but I really don't care about that at this point. It's my first grow and I am learning lots along the way. If it doesn't work out to my satisfaction, then I'll be asking you folks what to replace it with. Right now, I'm not asking that.

Well when the future comes you may want to look into HLG. They are making great strides in grow lights and quantium boards.

Very useful input. Thank you.

Regarding junk collecting in the light; my intake is running off a large air purifier so all the air entering the tent is scrubbed. I will take your advice anyway, because yes, I do have a compressor.

Actually it WILL grow you a plant or two .... Everybody starts somewhere. So as your initial buy , it will do what's it gonna do. If you stay serious about growing , you will out grow that led panel.

I started with CFL / BLURPLE ... Etc.
I Even STILL use my Vipar ( yes people talk shit ) but that god damn panel got me some dank weed ( perfect for my needs ) . Try not to focus on the negative .... The REAL TEST is " how well " your plants will thrive and reach flower with your growing experience.

Hovering / Over Watering / Over feeding / PH / Temps / Bugs and a whole shitload of problems will come and go thruout your grows. Lights are important but growing the damn plant without problems is the greater issue.

Good luck.

Yep. Already been looking at them. No way to justify more $$$ spent until I see the results from the blurple.

I just spent $100 on a carbon scrubber for the exhaust. Bitches are getting stinky already (still in veg).

That's where my head is at. What I get is what I get and I can control all those other factors. Been doing a decent job of it so far, I would say - based on thelook and smell of the girls in my tent.

I do hover over them alot, especially when I am high, but I figure the CO2 in my breath can't be bad for them. :)
