In all seriousness, this thread and a couple others started me down the LED path. My deepest gratitude to Beef and other old hands.
Agreed with @hillbill 100%.
I'm glad that my threads and journals helped some people along the way. :D That's why I loved doing this so much, there was always a strong community vibe here! I can't wait to figure out my new setup and get something in the works!

Anyone know what LED driver I can use for the Japanky Quantum Board 336 on Amazon? It says up to 168 Watts on there but I'm not quite sure what would be safe to drive it with and best bang for the buck...

Last time i looked at grow northern I shit my pants when I saw the pricing.
I do like the look of thier builds but the ppf doesn't blow me away. So unless they have dropped price considerably I wouldn't entertain them. Nice looking units though.
The 100w enhanced cob one is nice. The rest are just Hans panels right?

A very short time ago Hans Panels were highly recommended by people on this forum. Then along came advanced phosphor formulation and COBs. Specifically meant for mini grows with quality components and one of the best blurples I guess.
Oh yeah, I've only heard good thing about Hans.

Hans were before my time (interest in led) but I remember a few folk talking about them when I first started looking in COBs.
Grow northern was always the first search result when I used to google northern grow lights.

the latest lights i ordered had the following spectrums

6 red 660
5 red 630
2 blue 450
1 blue 430
1 white 3,000K

in groups of 15 leds

this i think covers all the main areas, with a focus on flowering, i can post a picture that shows the led colurs quite clearly if you want.

Nice thread thought about putting that in mine but didnt know if it was advertising too much/i was too lazy :P

I can say that my personal experience with the ProGrow 260 has been positive the first 4 months.
Before you get a light read lots of journals :P My biggest suggestion

Budmaster (pricey) worth a mention,of course they're expensive but I am loving my GOD 190w panel in combination with 2 citizen COB 50w each, Best results I've ever had and a joy to work with in regards to heat, saving a third on electricity, I did buy it because I was frightened of my DIY electrics as I've had a fire before and uk don't have a huge selection Like USA and the cost of shipping a cheaper alternative from USA costs nearly as much as the Budmaster and returning if problems can prove costly, I am going to tackle a small DIY build next now I know how easy it is and use it for a small 80cm tent compare results.
