Mars is a semi disposable led fixture with high failure rates.

If longevity and efficiency(hid is a better & cheaper option) means little to you then go ahead and purchase some "mood" lighting for your plants.

Try suing MARS when your eye sight fails from looking at blurple for months at a time

FACT: long ago doctors stopped trying to get their patients to change their diets, because all their patients want/wanted is a pill. enter big pharma whose products mask the symptom, never affecting the cause
Eye cancer, big pharma...

Ok

First of all, customer service is what this company prides itself in.They listen to their customers and then turn out a product that growers actually want. Before I pulled the trigger I spoke with Dan at length and I have to say it was a great experience. He helped me with any questions or reservations I had and then pointed me in the right direction for my needs. He has answered the few messages that I have sent him personally and in a timely fashion.Their product is fantastic and I would recommend them to anyone.I don't know what happened with the other guy but to say they have bad customer service... I have to strongly disagree. Peace.

I don't know bout eye cancer, but over time, red and blue wave lengths without green are extremely difficult on the eyes
Ok.

I still wouldn’t buy a DIY light. I don’t even grow with a Mars. I’m just saying they can grow good weed.

I dont do clones, only from seed and different strains, now is channel +. super skunk and durban poison, did the same with the mars, always different strains. The real wattage on the mars I read its about 300 and 400w.
How can it be an accurate comparison if they are from seed and different strains?

LOL if the test comes back Mars is equal you are working for the Chinese man. I own both and I cry bullshit. Timber is so much better.

It is like saying hey i got the same tools at this chinese knock off place. Well work on your car with them. I use quality made in north america tools because they do not fail on sunday. when everything is closed.

I say cobs forever. they work really amazing. My only complaint is the internodal distance is too tight. Never thought i would say that.

Sounds like your CoB spectrum is titleed too much into the blue range (450-500). I have 3 different Amare Technologies CoB lights; SE 220, SE 250 and Pro 300 no issues here

I am equally happy wth my BML SPYDR 600 with my custom blend of monos installed at the factory. It's ~85% combination of CW/NW/WW monos + 450 and 630 monos. The perimeter has a better umole consistency than CoBs

I think I am just getting used to the light. The tent is a bit small (5 square feet by 5 feet high) so it is all new and i am playing with the light wattage and fan speed to keep the temp right. But veg just started going gangbusters so they just needed a bit more time :D

The hit the net last night. Woo hoo the scrog has started

Hello everyone I am making this to show a real comparison of this 2 companies, I dont work for them or anything related.

MARS SETUP:
- Mars II 900w
- 80x80x170cm
- Humus, guano and sugars for feeding
- 5 Plants each time, up to 480g dry, lst train
- 1 year of use before selling it, buyer got half a year before having issues, mars sent replacements and still going good.

TIMBER SETUP
- 300 watt Citizen CLU048 (6) COB Kit
- 100x100x200cm
- Humus, guano and sugars for feeding
- 7 Plants and growing now, 1 month of veg, lst train.

Ok so that is so far and I will be super honest. So far the veg in the mars was better but the timber is doing really good also, the customer support of mars is just insanely good, timber so far is just ok.

What I want the most is to see what happens on the yield area and sure many are waiting for the same, so will let you know ppl!

Anyone know how to check the little leds inside the cobs to know if they are all working? That is something that I liked about old leds.

Hope this is helpfull to someone, cheers.
The COB setup is going to win. Hands down.
