2018 outdoor New England seed selection.

Hey folks I’m in the midst of purchasing seeds for the 2018 outdoor grow year! This is my 3rd outdoor grow and I’m planning on growing in 10 and 15 gallon fabric grow bags.
I’ve been researching seeds for the past few months now trying to read up as much as I can. I think I have narrowed it down to a few different strains listed below.

Black D.O.G by Humboldt seeds

Critical kush by Barney’s farm

Bubba’s gift by Humboldt seeds

Blueberry headband by Humboldt seeds

Gorilla bomb by bomb seeds

Holland’s hope by Dutch passion

Think fast by Dutch passion

Critical+ 2.0 by Dinafem

I need a strain that will finish by the first week of October. My spot is near a corn field so the plants will have to be harvested by the end of the first week of October. Or else they could be spotted by the guy smoking a joint in the combine cutting down the corn lol. Don’t need that to happen.

Like I said above I’ll be growing in 10-15 gallon fabric pots the 24/7 garden grow bags unless someone tells me otherwise...

I’m looking to get between 10-20 oz per plant. So pound per plant would be fantastic.

Will be using botanicare pure blend pro line and also once a week top dressing my soil with botanicare growilla powdered nutrients.

My soil is local compost and perlite mix with bone meal and blood meal nothing crazy just a few base nutrients.

If anyone has any tips or advice on which seeds would work best for my New England outdoor grow that would be much appreciated thank you.

O and I plan on doing 6 plants. Thanks

I would put them straight in the ground instead of pots, you don't have to water as often. Big plants in 10 gals on hot days need watering at least every 2 days(ime) are you running fem or regular seeds?

Hey thanks for the reply. I’ll be using feminized seeds. And I’ve thought about that. Would be way easier to plant when the time is right as well because I wouldn’t have to wait for the weeds to grow up enough to conceal the grow bags... the only thing is I wouldn’t be able to move them. I would have to make sure the plants were ready for harvest by the end of the first week of October. October 7th at the absolute latest

Skip on the Hollands Hope,it is a junk strain.Gets buds but wasn't potent/mold resistant or early, and very fluffy/leafy.
if u get the right pheno its great have grown it many times in maine out in the swamps, done late sept nice hard buds,if u pop a pac the ones u want r the runts of the litter.took me a season to figure that out, find the runts an clone away,i feel most folk like u toss the runts

That strain is a waste of effort, cant believe DP actually sells that crap.Someone 12 years old might be happy with the outcome of that strain but there is way better.

Humbolts Bubba Gift is a very solid strain with tight nugs/very potent and stable, with top quality bag appeal.Only thing is the strain is slow veg,a turtle in hibernation grows faster than that strain.Flowers as almost as soon as you put it outdoors and stays small to only couple foot tall.So you would have to veg it a long time indoors to about the actual size you want it to flower at.Great for a 5 gallon bucket or small discreet grow, but will get some mold if you dont keep an eye on it.

I was really looking forward to bubbas gift. Does Humboldt make any strains you would recommend? I checked out getaway mountain seeds not the biggest selection but they are climatized... and also they aren’t feminized. Maybe next year I’ll try the getaway mountain seeds when I have a decent indoor area for clones and sexing.

Cannaventure has some feminised seeds you might like. They're Tennessee kush #2 looks like an early finisher >60 days. They're raspberry kush looks amazing but not sure on flowering time. They are on green point seeds with a 30% discount.

CSI Humboldt has some nice feminised seeds as well, lots of mendo and purple ukle crosses. You can grab em for pretty cheap on GLO seeds.

I've had good luck with obsession
& seedman's white widow.

They are both mid oct I think. Ill let you check. Both are mold resistant.

To be safe tho, I'd go for an even earlier finisher. I think getaway mtn. has some early finishers.... You should hit him up. So should I come to think of it.

So I’ve talked to getaway mtn his seeds and selection seems very unique and impressive to say the least. The ONLY thing Holding me back is they are regular seeds. Meaning I have to sex my plants before hand and then use clones or sow all the seeds and hope for the best weeding out the males when the time comes.

I’ve been looking around and found a few seed companies that offer fast flowering seeds some of these company’s like Delicious seed company call these fast flowering seeds fast version. What is everyone’s take one these fast flowering strains ? In my opinion them seem to be like the getaway mountain seeds just not climatized but also feminized.

So what should I do ?

Whats wrong with having to sex em and clone?

Nothing is necessarily wrong with sexing and cloning but this year I didn’t have much time to order seeds get them started then have them outdoors. So I went with feminized seeds. Next year I’m going with getaway mountain TGA and a few others

Cool looking structure. Your plant seems to have been flowering pretty early. It looks like it's going to be ready around the end of September.

Personally, I would have planted in bigger grow bags such as 20 gallon bags.

Cheers bro,

Well that is a 20 gallon fabric pot... that plant is 6.5 feet tall with fabric pot. 35 main tops.

Is Sweet Skunk the only Delicious strain you ran?
Really looking hard at Delicious for my next run. Want to try Sugar Black Rose and a few others look really good.
Also fell in love with Chocolate Mint from Humboldt at the dispensary so I’m going to run that for sure as well
