i started off the year well. got my wife preggers (again) and it took finally, ended up having a baby in october.

between the fertilization and the birthing though, things went pretty haywire. lost a good $15-$20k in a single deal by some very trusted partners. stopped growing, went to work in the trades full time.

wife got post partum in a major way, have been struggling to maintain my sanity while looking out for her and the new arrival ever since.

how did you do?

Adjusting to the empty nest,
Blew my knee out and had a shitty surgery,.
Got some nice progress made on home projects.
Wife switched jobs and ended up head of nursing.
Gonna have a our first grand kid in March.
I do well in the summer but the winter depression fucks me up.
All in all nothing horrible happened
Making forward progress.
It was a good year.

Got visited by the task force.
Lost a deal worth over 900k that was in the works for nearly 2 years.
Kids are doing great in school, wife at work as well.
Health is eh
I still had 2 gardens so the loss of the other was not to harsh.
I bought my dream land and working on turning it into a working organic orchard and cut flower farm.

i remember a cut flower farm nearby where i used to live in oregon. seemed like a nice little way to live. i would buy peonies from them every valentine's for my wife. their tulip setups were awesome

Wasn't a bad year,
Got married to the love of my life. We have been together for over 15 years.
Went to a couple of different islands in the South pacific. Had a few weekends away and saw a couple of great iconic gigs, Cat Stevens being one.
Stopped seeing my best mate who ive known since grade 9. He changed so much over the last 10 years and I had enough of who he had become. That still hurts.
Got back into indoor growing and the first tent run went really well. I do miss the bush walks to my guerrilla plot though and my weight went up without them.
Year went to fast, they seem to zip past faster every year.

Was all luck. Cell tower on one of my properties. Or lack of luck because I still spent 5k on a lawyer and it d idnt happen.. but this land I got a killer deal on and with a ton of hard work, it should be pretty prosperous in 7 to 10 years.

Seven years ago was living behind a bush struggling to get back on my feet working at the same job to date but much lower on the totem pole definitely can't complain and can only hope more progress is made

2017?

Shite.

My back gave up on me, leaving me on the scrapheap before I hit 50. No work = less money, and then the old fat bastard diabetes kicked in meaning more costs. Car had to be sold because driving was too painful so have to use public transport like the poor people, knees and shoulders are giving up, arthritis starting to run rampant through me and eyesight is definitely going as I get older.

But I still have my health.

Bought an awesome place out in the country. And I have been adjusting to my new medical retirement... its hasn't been easy but its been great.
It was 2 months in the growing season before we got moved in but I still threw out 8 seedlings and they all made it and netted me 5lbs.
I really can't complain but I'm excited for what 2018 will hold!!
