Hubby is scared of spiders. I do the silk blazing around here!
The wife is not a fan either. I don't kill spiders. so i have to move them out of the house and such.

I do a lot of walking at night without my headlight, so I get a lot of webs on my face. Just one of those things.

It's either spiders or mosquitoes.

I'll happily take the spiders, lol
I got a spider bite yesterday. First one in 30 odd years. I was carrying a bucket of water in young pines, and it had about 3 inches of pinestraw {and one spider} when I got to the patch. I reached in to get the cup to dip the water, and must have squashed her. It stung like a bee sting, but didn't hurt long. I don't think she used much poison.

It was a pretty nice day today. I thought I woke up to a passing shower at the camp this morning. But when I got out, I saw it was just leaves and acorns hitting the tarp. Still dry.

@1730 it's clear, 67F with 68% humidity. Forecast high/low of 74/49F with 10% chance of rain tonight. The 10 day high/low is 77/38F with no real chance of rain. My 5-7 acre pond is down to about an acre, and that is going fast. It's held water for 5-6 years, and has been stocked, so I hate to see it go.

Another clear, warm day. I did more bush hogging. This time down at the camp. At 1940 it's clear, 54F with 74% humidity. Forecast high/low of 70/43F with no chance of rain tonight. 10 day high/low of 78/37F with a chance of rain on Sunday and next Thursday. We really need some rain. Fire season is going to be a bitch.

We had a cool day today. When I went out to plant orange and cherry seeds this morning, I had to go back in for a jacket.

At 1620 it's {time to burn one} fair, 64F with 46% humidity. Forecast high/low of 68/42F with 10% chance of rain tonight. My 10 day high/low is 78/38F with a chance of rain Wednesday and Thursday. And just sliver of a chance late Saturday night.

A gig would be the way to go. The wading birds are tearing it up now.

Once 25 years ago when it went dry, I planted the whole pond in cypress trees. The pond grew faster than the trees, and most of them drowned. The few that made it are making seeds now, so they should be more trees coming natural. But I'm probably going to get a bundle of seedlings and do what I can to make it a cypress pond.

Much warmer today. I did wear a jacket early, but got out of it by mid-morning. Finished the bush hogging and dropped the mower. Need to disc up the garden, but will have to wait till next week. Work is getting in the way of my farming. I have to come in early tomorrow, and didn't know it earlier. So I have to get out at daylight and tend the young plants. Still no rain, so they will be needing a drink.

At 1750 it's clear, 62F with 74% humidity. Forecast high/low is 73/47F with 10% chance of rain. 10 day high/low of 79/36F with rain possible the last four days.

It was cool when I got out at daylight to make my rounds. But I lost the jacket in the first mile, the long sleeve shirt in the 2nd one. {grasshoppers are sons of bitches, btw} At noon it's sunny, 71F with 44% humidity. Forecast high/low of 73/47F with 10% chance of rain tonight. 10 day high/low of 78/37F with the high coming on Saturday and the low Sunday night. And I'm already down to just 2 days of possible rain.

Grasshoppers make great fish bait.

Yes and I'll cop to my part in it; advanced fishing withdrawals...
Other than a little bit of hiking fishing, I haven't touched a rod in a couple of years. Since my grand niece was here a couple of summers ago.

I was down at the creek land a few weeks ago, and you could see all sorts of fish. The river being clear is about the only good thing about this dry weather.

Chilly night last night. I saw 35 at 1 point. Freeze warnings started popping up on my phone for areas just inland of me. 56 degrees already with a forecasted high of 66 today. The temps here have been crazy recently, Wednesday high of 50. Thursday high of 67. Friday high of 52. Today 66. I will be going hunting this afternoon. I was supposed to go this morning but slept in.

Edited: sent too larry my location.
Also, a big thanks to too larry for responding to my other thread.
