STATE has been given 1.2 million to close all dispensaries !

What a crock of shit, they assemble the most anti cannabis people in the state for this board. They will drag out every step of this process as long as they can and there won't be a seed cracked until they can't delay any further.I guess many patients will have to go back on opiates, but good luck finding a doctor that will prescribe them so you are fucked there too.
If you don't have a caregiver or a cartel connection you better get one.

It's not even December and we got someone who's an expert. Listen you continue to pick apart something that I haven't seen any change in since 09. I haven't received a letter stating any changes. Really all you want to do is argue about a problem that isn't there just to argue with anyone who will listen. If your following the law and stick to "qualified Patients and Qualified caregivers" you'll be just fine. It almost sounds as you had a storefront and your mad it got shutdown. Your claim that caregivers are gonna be out of business is ludicrous. I'm sure Lara will be sending everyone letters soon huh. Find something positive instead of your fake news that you just continually push because your some kind of paranoid schizo. No proof at all just hot air and fancy wording

Did you even read the post above mine because you keep answering me out of context.

I fucking despise dispensaries. No one I know would even go to one.

And I'm hardly schizo. Excellent points about the seed to sale software have been made.

You may be the one in a fantasy world. Raids never stop.

No one said anything about caregivers yet. They are doing things a step at a time.

But when they are done with the bigger business. They will want to weed out the cash cropping caregivers.

Is that why you keep getting mad at my opinion?

The poster above me said the same thing. I agreed. But you single me out and call names again.

You sure you're sure about this?

It's an opinion that doesn't make sense. You rant and rave over changes but have shown no proof on speculation. And I myself have never received and changed from Lara on the status of my being a caregiver. You only bring up fairy tales about caregivers loosing their rights but with no proof. Do you really like hearing yourself talk? And I'm so sorry I hurt your soft feelings maybe you need your safe space available

Do not pay attention to these morons who are spreading this garbage about our law. They themselves are struggling to either grow or come to grasps with our law. Maybe they can't read or even comprehend. Our county's almost last in basic comprehension so that must explain everything

I think as business men many of us see the future here sorta.
opinion-

state cycled operators must jump through hoops, pay taxes, fees, inspections, seed to sale tracking, police interactions, police monitoring, patient data management, sales records on and on. they have big financial backers, state blessings, police enforcement on their side. Higher profits are the concern of the corporations, its their duty to do all they can to increase profit. The easiest closest cheapest lowest hanging fruit to accomplish this will be the elimination of "non state backed" suppliers no?

Their only competition will be from the few experienced cg's remaining in the system. Those that need no records management teams, no fees, no taxes, no police monitoring, no sales records, no seed to sale tracking, no labs necessary.....yeah, right, does anyone really expect that they wont eliminate this nuisance home growing supplier?

this is not to say anyone has threatened , there is no fear mongering, nor has anyone said it will happen, or when, or why or how, its only discussion between those who have watched this industry unfold, as well as dozens of others in our past perhaps, about the near obvious moves a large business like this will take to increase their bottom line. This is only the easiest one to accomplish, then come false labs, missing product, outside purchasing, illicit sales, record hacking, embezzlement, police corruption, and very importantly the new dispensary law enforcement motives, actions, and abilities.

Im sorry I didn't save newspaper clippings I never saw 2 years ago. You think every raid is reported?

I haven't said anything about any changes you keep talking about a letter you haven't got.

They already said they wouldn't affect caregivers and patients during this phase. But you go ahead and trust them.

It's all obvious from the rec states and newer Med states laws. They will model right after them.

Just to be clear, I was glad to see a majority of the MMFLA board and LARA in general shutdown SGT Bailey and Sen Johnson's paid for criminal/drug war exception prerogative of our medical marijuana laws on Tuesday.

What you witnessed was LARA's regulatory/civil lawyers stepping up and calling bullshit. This is about licensing a legal medicinal substance, not keeping cash rolling into our criminal justice system at all costs. There is real money and lawyers in MMFLA now and it would behoove them to re litigate the loss of MMMA section 4 protections over the past decade that our patients and caregivers simply couldn't afford to defend ...

We really need to come together, recognize and applaud our wins IMHO

why would anyone pay the lottery fee when they have no clue how much money is to be made at any level, except maybe the pos?

imagine you re chosen, need to build your room appropriately, vid monitoring set up with the msp, state inspections, financial background checks....etc..to find out you get paid
5oo$ a unit, and need to pay the armored truck 100 bucks to transport it to the lab, and pay another 100 bucks
I hear what you are saying but rules change ,why does it take 6 months to mail a medical card, why is there no picture on card after 10 yrs.
These are the people that are running the show, but just my personal opinion, you all make very good points.

Rabhi: Protect Medical Marijuana Businesses, Patients from Regulatory Overreach
Bill would allow existing businesses to apply for licensure without shutting down
Tuesday, September 12, 2017
LANSING — State Rep. Yousef Rabhi (D-Ann Arbor) announced a bill today to prevent existing medical marijuana dispensaries from being shut down by licensing delays. Last year, the Legislature passed bills to license medical marijuana businesses such as processors and dispensaries and to give local governments control over whether to allow such licensed facilities to operate in their municipalities. However, the bills did not specify a process for licensing medical marijuana businesses that are already established. The Medical Marihuana Licensing Board said today that existing businesses must close by Dec. 15 if they want to seek licensure. Because license applications will not be accepted before that date, businesses will be forced to shut down for an indefinite period while they wait for their applications to be processed.

“These businesses are caring for hundreds of patients and have invested in our communities by buying equipment, developing facilities, and training workers,” Rep. Rabhi said. “They should have a chance to show that they meet the licensing requirements without being penalized for investments they made before the licensure legislation was passed. Small businesses can’t afford to be shut down for months by unnecessary bureaucratic procedures.”

Rep. Rabhi’s bill would establish a timeframe for processing the license applications of existing medical marijuana businesses, and would allow existing businesses to continue operating while their applications are processed. Otherwise, all of the licensure requirements would remain the same. The bill also clarifies that current businesses who apply before February will not be barred from licensure solely on account of having operated without a municipal enabling ordinance before this became a requirement. Municipalities would retain their control over whether to allow licensed medical marijuana facilities.

“Shutting down responsible and beneficial businesses before they have the chance to apply runs counter to the goal of providing reasonable guidelines for medical marijuana businesses,” Rep. Rabhi said. “My bill provides a path for existing businesses to become licensed. Communities will have a choice of allowing medical marijuana businesses to operate or not, and many communities want to see these jobs and small businesses protected.”

Rep. Rabhi is continuing to seek legislative co-sponsors for the bill, which he plans to introduce on Thursday (TODAY).

Call your state representative today!

just a guess....I suspect the state already knows who the regulated players will be. Prolly not anyone that opened before paying their dues I bet. c'mon, this is MI, U.S. after all. I hope it passes though...

LARA is stepping in, and declaring dispensaries have until December to shut down, also stating its not a MDOJ decision to attack them, thats LARA's job....

Reading it actually made me smile a bit, it kinda felt like they were putting the anti-MMMJ people in their place.

It's hard to tell the strategy, no less the identify of all the swamp lawyers, lobbyists and politicians currently swimming around Lansing. We just need to keep kicking them in the teeth each time they stick there slimy little heads up, just like with Bailey and Johnson on Tuesday brother. It's going to be a long tough battle ...

heres the company gonna do all the seed>sale tracking ...
research their background-and the ceo
-seems their doing all states tracking ...hmmm-

this is a national effort to reign in the control and put everyone into a database that can be easily tracked in a moment notice

yes they will b coming after medical- cgs -etc
-slowly-

I cd give you story after story of folks i know west that have tried repeatedly to follow their rules and its set up by design to be impossible
same as our law

costs u alot of $ to find out

like another poster said its a cash grab for all the app fees-$5000@pop
undrstand how much dough$$$$$$$they will get just dangling the carrot in front of these assholes that sold us out

Do u undrstand their using ur own greed against u-
90%of these folks that apply wnt qualify
Lol

They already know who their giving the licenses to
nepotism

can any1 say rex84 or operation garden plot -
-straight outta the book

Its all lawyers running the show here
And most folks let them-difference being in calif the pts dictated the rules mostly bc they>>> organized >>protested and >>>filled the courtrooms w concerned citizens instead of letting them railroad folks into plea deals and bargaining away their rights

Sec 8 is truly the only real defense u have once they wnt recognize ur card if u violate their rules-we wd lose that w legal lies
That is the 'gray area'
3ma (F) one of the (E) biggest scam (D)sites out there
theres like 3people over there STILL feeding the pts their koolaid and trying to sell the rules

Look its hegillian dialectic
-nt gonna waste hrs trying to explain it to folks-i dnt even enjoy coming in forums anymore i got to many other things to do than sit and type on the interweb

Regulatory capture is the synthesis portion of the equation
thats all you need to know
we are nearing their 'end game'

Yes pts will be able to still grow but they will take it back to 6plants and no cgs-same as all the other states
plus they want to label cg as home based business so they can inspect track and tax u
believe it bc its true -
the main thing is the black market explodes and takes over once the novelty of the stores wears off and people see paying 3-4-500$@oz for subpar hydro bullshit is sickening

Mayb u guys shd read other states w legal-lie zation and see what theyve encountered

The whole legal lies is bullshit
If abrogate doesnt pass just go back undrground or enjoy showing off your 6plant grows on forums like this

-yea u guys chill out &watch whats coming if the legal lies passes
- and im sure it will
watch how many rush out to sign up for this and spend a whole lotta $ for nothing

$5000 to send in an app and see if u get denied:lol:
-quite the odds depending how many thousands sign up
-most will 'crap-out':spew:

funy thing is they already have most of us sending them $100:lol: on top of everything -talk about aponzi scam

abrogate or its back to the hip old skool

-no one has said anything here about the property w/greenhouses phillip morris has purchased by a2
Ive heard once the a2 disp owners get the law passed they will sell out for big bucks like a liquor lie-sense

smart fellers

Regulatory capture is a form of government failure that occurs when a regulatory agency, created to act in the public interest, instead advances the commercial or political concerns of special interest groups that dominate the industry or sector it is charged with regulating.[1] When regulatory capture occurs, the interests of firms or political groups are prioritized over the interests of the public, leading to a net loss to society as a whole. Government agencies suffering regulatory capture are called "captured agencies". (aka lawfare)

You didn't read my posts here with my feelings about all this new legal weed business did you?

I have never even gone to a cup. I just told you I have been involved with the industry since the 80's.

Those flowers are practice and hard work. Gorilla glue is a money strain right now. Not fun and trippy enough for me.

Already have real ECSD crosses that are better feeling to me. But I have not ever said anything about the best.

Are you accusing me of anything in particular?

And I'm only 49. Whose an old guy? My poor injured body feels kinda old.

Seriously. The man called me a Nazi for my feelings about weed laws.

Did you even read this thread? Just because we don't support him and his version of our cause he started calling names. I didn't start this fight.

But you getting upset means I made a point. You have an agenda here huh?
I get the nazi inference-
