Trump Hysteria

China is becoming more and more aggressive. They are building army bases in the south china sea and threatening all who disagree with that.

They are poised to control the trade of that entire region and smaller countries will be screwed.

They attempt to dictate who we talk to? That is nonsense. Trump will not stand for it.

If they start war with Taiwan (who, btw is more democratic than china) because of us communicating with them, they are in the wrong.
OK. I just meant economically. Not to say we're not capable of producing our own cellphones.

For his part, Mr. Trump seemed to take umbrage at the idea that he needed China’s approval to speak with Ms. Tsai. In two posts on Twitter, he wrote: “Did China ask us if it was O.K. to devalue their currency (making it hard for our companies to compete), heavily tax our products going into their country (the U.S. doesn’t tax them) or to build a massive military complex in the middle of the South China Sea? I don’t think so!”

Translation, Stealing scrap metal. tsk tsk. good money tho.
Nah. We had a lawnmower motor that was leaking a bit of oil and him and his friends decided they wanted to build a go-cart. Even the sarge was involved in bring machinery, tools, and batteries home.

Was fucked up.

Oh goodie. You took the time to become an instant expert.

Hmmm, so many ways to go. I am tempted to ask about the impact on our other global partners that we have protocols, agreement, etc. with. But I think it might be better to keep it simple. Hey @Flaming Pie , what to we actually have to gain as a country by doing this in this manner - a manner that will surely be seen as insulting and duplicitous? Why Taiwan as a fulcrum to move China? What do we have to gain in real terms - besides the new Trump Towers Tiapei?

Is insulting China by de facto recognizing Taiwan a good idea? Do you think it is likely to give the USA some sort of benefit? Will it strengthen our hand diplomatically or economically?

If you and your husband were having problems, would you mind it if he sought advice from his ex?

Perhaps you would like to see a ban on offending china? Since you seem to think a war is justified on the basis of being offended?

I think it's a currency game that should be played. On the one hand, China could dump way more US Treasuries than they have and fuck us over pretty good. On the other hand, we could have competition in currency of our own then ask China what parts of Title 12 and 31 they needed help with to understand.

Would you rather a law that requires a US president to only accept phone calls from China approved callers?
Again, inflating logic to a ridiculous degree does not make you right. International relations. Relationships are important - especially with the Chinese. They are particulary sensitive to things like this.

I expect Donald to

1. uphold this country's agreements that we freely entered into.
2. if he wants to change things, to do it in a way that is consistent with diplomatic norms and conventions.
3. put America's interests above his petty needs for praise
4. admit it if he makes a mistake

He did none of those. Why are his actions in America's interest? The world wonders.

He was booted for bringing home materials meant to be recycled. Almost all of hasmat was doing that. He was on a temporary assignment there and everyone else was doing it. He took the fall for the whole hasmat crew. He was a dumb ass who thought the rules didn't apply to him. He has since learned.
LOL, "bringing home materials meant to be recycled" is a nice way of saying that he stole stuff. But you can't say he stole stuff because you are spineless. And the truth hurts

Pity party will be held at Pie's house tonight. "He took the fall for the whole hasmat (sic) crew" "everyone else was doing it" Typical Cafeteria Christian picking and choosing what they want to believe.

How about all those Republicans you didn't vote for and who will remove you from State and Federal Aid programs? That's going to cut you deep. But you can't own it. That you didn't vote for Paul Ryan and others means you can shift your responsibility for putting them into power onto a nameless entity. Surely you don't take responsibility for your part in enabling their actions do you?

I can hear it now -- I didn't vote for them so I have the right to complain. And you will. Oh yes you will.

Suggest that your church members donate time to make teensy caskets so that indigent women who miscarry can take your charity and use your church gratis for the funerals that Trump's administration will impose upon them. That would be a good thing to do. But I'm willing to bet that you and your church won't own this shitty development either. Pick and choose according to what's easiest and feels good. "we protect the unborn" feels good.

A woman with health problems who would have had an abortion to protect her health will soon not only have to deal with the medical issues but also emotional trauma and a state mandated funeral. For what is basically medical waste.

Sorry for distracting you. Now you can go back to deciphering code words in your wikileaks mad-libs game. Did you know that somebody shot up the pizza restaurant because of that fake news story that right wing nuts like you have completely bought into? These fake news stories are causing fear, intimidation, harm and somebody is going to get killed. The truth hurts. Cowards can't face it.

Yeah, I'm sure that was what he was doing.

"everybody was doing it" = blame shifting

I didn't vote for Paul Ryan = blame shifting

Echoing fake news that triggers intimidation and violence but not owning the outcome = ?
I am not shifting blame. I am explaining how he saw it. I saw it as wrong. He saw no problem if everyone was doing it.
