I couldn't agree more. At least the guys selling lights/cobs/kits have an excuse for being here. I came to the conclusion that any mature and serious grower, even hobbyists, have no reason to come here anymore. The threads are full of the same horseshit bickering that runs 24/7 and goes absolutely nowhere. There are even a couple decent growers in this thread but their continual need to 'educate' or just simply argue with people completely negates any positive impact they have had on the RIU growing community. People don't come in here to share 'their' experience and offer help if they can, they come here to shit on other people and pretend that their thoughts and way of thinking actually mean more than other peoples. I come on here to learn or maybe steer someone in the right direction (if I can) that asks a question. It's really hard to enjoy reading through the threads though because they constantly get derailed every day by the same handful of asshats.
It's almost embarrassing. I would never recommend this site anymore and expose someone new to this BS.
I'm all for unregulated forums but as we can all see from experience, it has turned into a shit-show and completely devalued what could have been an excellent forum for learning and sharing everything a person needs to know about growing MJ. I really wish some people would stop and realize what they are doing, smarten the fuck up and let people learn from their mistakes. Growers can exaggerate a bit, sellers can too but we are all here for the greater good and we should treat each other as such.
