Hey everyone 13+ year cannabis grower, hailing from SouthEastern Ontario! Would just like to welcome anyone who takes interest in this thread! I would like to thank Summit Grow Labs out of Minneapolis, Minnesota for providing me with an opportunity like I haven't seen before! They've provided me free of charge with their:
Kiliminjaro Grow Tent (2.5'x4'x7')
XP400 LED Panel
-600W HID equivalent
-2 Cree CXA 2540 COB
-126 5W diodes
4" inline fan
4" Carbon filter
6" clip fan (circulation)
Light and fan/filter hangers
All power supply cord sets and a timer!

This journal will be a test/consultation grow using Summits complete Grow Lab, running some Blue Lime Slyme (Blue Lime Pie X Platinum Cherry Pie) a personal project created by a friend at Sin Cuty Seeds super rare and released in very very limited numbers :)

Ok wanted to start off the journal by saying that everything right from the get go with Josh and Summit has been great so far! Josh kept me updated as soon as progression was made with my shipment on multiple occasions. And had it from Minnesota to South Eastern Ontario through customs and to my door in 4 days!! Pretty amazing if I say so.

All materials were packed very well. Everything came out of their boxes the way they went in :)

Assembling everything also was extremely simple. My biggest issue was only having about a half inch clearance which just made it a little bit tougher to actually get the canvas over the frame. Wouldn't have been an issue other wise.

First impressions were, Wow this is built to last! I'd definitely feel safe hanging my 160 lbs from it lol. The tent material is at least twice as thick as other tents if not 3x. The zippers are at least .5" wide and also look really heavy duty.

The led panel is built very well from a consumer prospective very clean and simple design that anybody could figure out how to setup and operate. Heavy duty industrial switches for veg and bloom modes tells the attention to quality and durability Summit will no doubt be known for. As you can see in the pics the 2 COB LEDs put out an impressive amount of light and withe the bloom LEDs engaged, its definitely a light show!

Excellent light hangers and ratchets were included as well. The exhaust fan and 4" ducting combo are keeping moisture in check :) coupled with the 6" hurricane clipfan and airflow in the tent is adequate. 1 improvement I may make would be to add a second 6" fan during the summer heat. Time and temperature will decide that one though. Everything down to the included power strip and digital timer are excellent quality.

I placed 4 BLS in the tent to veg under the LEDs for a couple more days and then I'll be taking clones and flipping to 12/12 to start sexing/flowering until then...stay medicated!!

Nice ! Looks like they hooked you up. And their prices are competitive. I'm excited to see how this works out for you. Going to upgrade my 1000s to LED. I was going to DIY, but a good friend convinced me I should buy a prebuilt unit that is proven, with a warranty. Your test will help me either lean more towards this brand or another. Perfect timing really.

Warranties are overrated. If my diy rig fails I can upgrade/fix it for the cost of shipping a prebuilt back to the manufacturer.
It's all preference. If your electrically/mechanically inclined you can come up with a solution to an issue or fabricate something to accomplish your goals. If your not and you have the cash and want something you put together in literally 30 min.? Your going to lean towards a prebuilt setup. Pros and cons on each end. Really whatever is going to work best for the grower is where they will go. I do understand that when a light goes down you need something to replace it within 24 hours and ordering a light from a company that's out of state/province/country will hamper that. My 400 HPS will be my backup but knowing the timeline on what a burnt unit could do to a grower summit most likely has a solution for that. @SummitGrowLabs ?

I'm thinking on replacing my hid with 3 1K equivs LEDs if this shows me it's a good idea ;) so much potential to go big with led for the same hydro consumption (rubs hands)

Alrighty everybody I know it's been a while... this update would've happened last week. But here we go! The tent and light are running like a well oiled machine. Temps arnd humidity are being kept in check and this XP400 is keeping them as squat and bushy as it can! For plants that were about 24" at beginning of flower they're staying green 80% of the way down the stalk.

I pulled 2 males from the tent to grab pollen before I cull. So I'll be flowering 2 big mommas :)
