Hey there, I wanted to start cloning as there are benefits to it that I want to take avantage from. I dont have any clonex etc, but I do have 200x aloe vera powder. Ive read a couple different articles on cloning\ cloning with aloe.

1. Without building/buying a cloner, is ii legit to just use soil? I also have coco?

Any other suggestions?

The easiest way i found is i place mine in a glass of water for around 10 days than plant direct into soil. It works for me, although changing the water everyday is advised.

Not my pic;

You can also use honey.

Once you cut the clone, place it in water with aloe Vera or just plain water for a while. Then dab the open stem in the honey, I go about an 1/8-1/4" up the stem, and plant in moist soil or medium of your choice. Cover with plastic bag, cup, container, or other means of keeping a relatively high humidity and they should take root. GL! :bigjoint:

You can apply the aloe powder to the soil also to help promote root growth.

Invest in clonex, 2nd time ever cloning, went from 50% success to 100% success with clonex. Roots were strong and vibrant in 2 weeks the plants were a foot and ready for switch

Beleive it or not i read our own saliva makes a good rooting compound, although we do cary many germs not sure how productive it truly is, and normally id just make my cutting at an angle and split the bottom in to two parts about 1 cm deep, give it a dip in rooting gel powder or saliva of choice and plant directly into soil, roots should form within 7 days. Also covering the pot and plant with a half cut bottle seems to help (mini green house)

Whats the cheapest/smallest bottle you can get?

And can I use the clonex and put cuttings in soil? Id rather not make a cloner atm.

How do you clone bro?

If you have an empty plastic coffee tin and a water pump for fish, you have a cloner. I would post a pic, but I don't know where to save them here.

Fuck the aloe n just either clonex into the soil or a jiffy(soak the jiffy in warm water for it to expand then squeeze the excess water out)..I personally use a jiffy.firstly I snip a nice size cutting from the Base (when you're lollypopping before flip is a great time)
Then I scrape the Base along the circumference about half a cm along/up from the base n do a mm wide x on the Base of the cutting then dip in the cloning solution n into the jiffy n slap that bitch into the dome but remember to leave a little water in the dome n spay the top with water as rooting clones love high humidity keep an eye on humidity n she should be done in 7+ days.

If you cannot get cloning gels or the sort, water does it's job. Although I'm not sure about the success rate, it's definitely lower. Humans have been cloning for hundreds of years using water. :D

I don't know if i can post from another forum, but here goes:
https://www.icmag.com/ic/showthread.php?t=42847

water, vermiculute, ice tube tray, light.
I noticed on the newer ice tube trays that there is no plastic blue thing to set it, so just drill right into the ice tubes, about 3-5 little holes so that the vermiculite can wick up water from the bottom.

$2.99 for round "finger chapstick" sized container of Life cloning gel. Or you can reach out to Www.grow-better.com and ask for a free sample to try out. All you have to do is email and ask for a sample. I'd recommend looking over the products offered before you email.

Please try a Honey & Cinnamon mixture, i was wanting to try this, I have been talking about it for the past few day but don't have anything to clone. If you can use honey and cinnamon to clone, that would be great. Finding new ways to do things is always good, especially when it comes to budget growers like me and others alike. Just think it's 100% organic and if you read about it on google, there are a lot of success stories. YouTube also.

I use honey, no cinnamon. The honey seems to work great though.
