I was going to top it but I was worried about what was going on, so you think it's safe to top it even though it looks the way it does?It looks fine. It needs a little more fertilizer, that is why its cannabolizing the lower leaf. the new growth looks fine.
stay the course. although I WOULD top it.
I think either soil is too hot or the mg ferts, but i see burned tips and green foliage makes me think maybe nute burn or n excess. But dont take it from me wait for more people to chime inView attachment 3563777 View attachment 3563778 View attachment 3563777 View attachment 3563778 Ok I'll start out by telling you that I'm using FoxFarm ocean forest and MG seed starter soil 60/40 and also mixed extra pearlite in with the mixture. I've been using straight bottled purified drinking water until Thursday I started using dyna gro foliage pro. 1 ml per gallon. And I have a total of 700w CFLs on her. I can't figure out what is wrong with her! Please help me!?!?
Thx manLower leaves usually die they don't receive a lot of light usually. Pretty normal looking plant, nice job.
Wouldn't bump up nutes but I wouldn't decrease either. Can't get much better than that shade of green and no canoeing so there isnt N toxicity. Stay the course, friend.
Wow thanks for the advice I'm going to follow you feeding advice and I'm turning side lamps off tonight. The side lamps do let off some heat but the middle one doesn't.In my opinion the plant is nice. What i see is heat stress and nute burn. The folding of leaves tells you that shes getting to much heat. The 700watts of light is intense. You dont need the side lamp until the buds begin showing. The dark green means that no more nutes can fit in the leaves. The seed starter is no problem. The FFOF is fine. Shes mature enough to withstand the nutrients. What you want to is be adamantly consistant with you water and feed schedule. Like me, i feed every friday perminently. And water every tuesday perminently. You never will have to worry about saturation and compaction. Where as root rot and salt build up will abound. If you take out that side light and top her shell begin to automaticall canopy. The small space is generating lots of heat. She has too many nutes. What you need to do for her is flush lightly and let a few inches from the top dry out. Then water and feed with a consistant schedule. Thus always ph your water and nutes with a 5.8-6.2 reading. If your using plain water always ph the water with those readings. When you feed always use lesser strength. And add your nutes to your gallon first then check your ph and adjust if need be. So flush lightly first. Take out the side light. Take fan off the light becuse its not powerfull enough to cool that lamp and reflector. Sit the fan up and draw the heat out. Churn the soil carefully so you dont break many roots so that air flow and oxygen can seep down in there for the root system. This method will keep you and the plant happy. This is what i would do and have am doing NOWView attachment 3563949 shell be fine.
I'm following your adviceIll tell you also... with my feed and water schedule, no matter how much my mind tells me to water her, I DONT! Feed on the same day every week. And water on the same day every week. And sometimes what i do too is, when the 2" on the top dries out i water the top ONLY ENOUGH for about a 2 or 3 inch water so that the roots can come up to the top letting the bottom dry out some. This helps to prevent root rot and over watering. Thus good oxygen deep down. And this is why its good to ALWAYS PH your water for the power of oxygen to go deep down. But less is always better. The dryer the better. Always give her just enough to satisfy her not to fill her up.
That's awesome bud, keep me updated and I will keep you in the loop alsoGood day Chris. I wanted to show you what FFOF is all about. Most people be down talking it. Truth is, I started these two girls off in the Espoma and because i knocked all the plants over on their prescious little heads and necks... I had to repot them...lol like two days ago. I repotted them in the FFOF. You can see where they took a pinch not a burn but good warmth. Now they are used to it. These two are two weeks and 11 days. If they did slow some it does not effect what they will be. Theyve grown though since i repotted them a few days ago.View attachment 3564145 And if push begin to shove... any slowing at this time is ok with me. Shorter node space and it will help not to stretch during the two to three weeks of stretch. I will Keep a journal but in the forum though. However, good growing to you.
It was pretty warm with those side lamps but I turned them off and now it's very comfortable in thereI notice that you have no temp and humidity meter. Do you have one? If so whats your temps like?
Hey bud, I took a lot of your advice on watering and feeding her and it WORKED!!! I only water her every two days and I only use nutes once a week. Also I lowered light closer to to herGood day Chris. I wanted to show you what FFOF is all about. Most people be down talking it.
