Sup fellow 907 er

I use the old taste method pull a sunleaf off and taste the sap in the stem.
if its bitter and chemmy tasting you k ow you need more.

after 2-3 weeks of good flushing your sap should taste clean like sweet water with no bitterness.

just my 2 I believe flushing kinda mimics the fall rain and change in seasons. Thats why colors my first indicator.

I wont even taste my stems till they are light green at least if its dark green still has tons of nitrogen and chlorophyll

hope this helps
just my 2

Whoops mines about the same first week is a sugar supplement and water

2nd and 3rd weeks are water and a clearex run but just water is fine too.

I found with some huge root systems it takes closer to 3 weeks to get all the stored nutes out plus when im flushing the days are at 75 but I let it get cold during the night for the ladt few weeks as well.

in my mind any living object usually uses more fuel in cold environments. Same idea hear the cold Nights make them burn their stored "fat" faster lol

water w molasses for the last two weeks or so. I make sure I get a good flush through the soil on each of those waterings.
That is cool Cold$moke, have not read about the taste test before, but will surely give it a try next run.

Sorry been a while since I was here unsure about the clear x thing just kinda assumed since it was safe for food crops as far as I remember.
Might sound like a uneducated dumb ass but I smoked it lol

Teach me how to flush my organic compounds out of my plant/soil? Lmao at the dude tasting sap. Im not gonna get deep into it. What i recommend is to just try it. If you haven't tried it, then dont throw your blind opinion. Depriving the root zone of its finishing nutrients and oxygen is a no go.
GDP x F1 DURBAN, taste like cherries and grapes. i know.. im a lazy trimmer.

Well I do what I want
I've always found it to work

Think of nature in the fall you get more rain witch kinda flushes the soil combined with cold Temps the increased nutrient demand shows as yellow leaves:)

You Wana prove it eat some lettuce grown with your mix of nutes. With no flush

Then try a batch that has been flushed till the color lightens the flavor will be much less bitter .

For another thing I run hydro so I don't have any lack of dissolved 02.
Bottom LINE IF YOUR PLANT ARE STILL GREEN THERE IS NITROGEN IN THEM which taste like ass when smoked :)

Besides all that I know the difference between unflushed and flushed .

I like to taste my weed not my blunt wrap your right about being lazy though

Oh Yea if your organics are done right you shouldn't need a flush because you've burned through it but the color AND taste of the leaves still apply.
If they are green when you cut then you organically overfed:) in a timing sense not chemical burn sense

In my experience I can flush for up to 3 weeks before I get all the nutrients stored out .
Your roots hold onto a lot of nutrients organic or not
( although you can get away with more in the organics and still have it taste ok)
My plants are nothing but healthy just taking out the nasty nitrogen and chlorophyll (i e hey ) the plants still are very perky high resin .

IN MY OWN OPINION the whole last min nutrient feeding is a try to get more weight (which I'm not concerned with )

I all but guarantee that by the time you hit the last 2 weeks of bloom your plants have enough nutes stored in them to go 2 to 3 weeks. Especially if you keep the water at a ph the plant likes it will keep metabolizing it's stored fuel ( my own thoughts not science )

AT THE END OF THE DAY as long as it burns to an ABSOLUTE WHITE FIINNEE. POWDER ASH and taste good with no snaps crackles or pops then I'm good with it .
Just my 2.

When u say flushing, I'm thinking pouring gallons of water in a pot?

This is why I think most growers in dirt frown upon flushing......

CAUSE IT SUCKS ASS TO DO WITH DIRT AND POTS ...

THIS IS ONE OF 3 REASONS I SWITCHED FROM ORGANICS IN COCO ..
Yes flushing pots blows but I still did it cause I knew it was worth it. But finally got tired of it and switched to hydro
one day when I'm old I will grow in coco organically again but while I still have a day job HYDRO IS KING

Now when I'm 3 weeks from cut I stop the main nutes and only give a carb or glucose supplement then 2 weeks out I run plain ph water which I change out 2 times.
Last week's nothing but my well water which has a Lil iron but isn't hard.

There were quite a few words there - not strung in a cohesive sentence mind you, but still there was some English there.
WTF does that mean anyway?
