who are you and who are you trying to represent ? I went to gogreenled.com and these cob products are nowhere to be seen . apparently you think adding an "S" to a well known company is something special. where are your lights mfg ? what drivers are you using ? and what bin 3070s are you using ?

Or drivers on our latest batch of 9 COB lights are using Meanwell HLG-185H-C1400B drivers. The 4 and the 6 COB are using non-brand name >88% efficient drivers, to keep costs reasonable. We stand by our drivers and have a 5 year warranty on them. I agree the name Go Green LEDs is not original but we believe in the brand and what it means to large scale commercial growers as our lights will reduce their carbon footprint from about 4.6 tons of carbon per 1000W HPS to 2.2 tons with one of our lights 450W LED lights. I know that may not mean much to the users using one or two lights here but to a commercial user using dozens or 100 lights that is a large impact. Going green is more than our name it's where the industry needs to go. We believe our Cree CXB lights can make that happen. We want give back to the community here and wish to see everyone who wants this technology to be able to get it at a reasonable price.

Light builders really step in do do when they make comparisons to build such as the one thousand watt hps, sadly they don't know that many people here on riu don't fall for such claims, especially when many people on RIU have already done comparison grows with pictures, they really shoot themselves in thy feet

Edit: I did find that ~450W (dissipated) of CXB 3070 (BB) and Vero 29 did quite in fact outdue 600W HPS/MH at currents ~2.8A.

Obviously 900W of CXB 3070 (BB) at currents of ~1.4A is going to outdue 900W of CXB 3070 (BB) at currents of ~2.8A. It's just that one costs more than the other.

As I've stated before, I'm glad the competition is heating up on LED grow light choices. There's no reason to listen to some sanctimonious asshole acting like he's doing you a favor by selling you a light 8 months late. Competition is good for the consumer and drives innovation.
Yep competition for the companies is good for us.

Wow really. I guess you are counting a bare 1000 HP's @ 1850 umol. Ummmmmm unless you are going bare bulb vert there is reflector loss. And if that is the case then we are fools who have wasted a lot of time and money. I'm going to go out on a limb and say that this light will be a 750-800 watt hps replacement with the hps using a to of the line reflector and ballast.

Mine were ran at ~2.8A. The actual power consumption, stated of that "450W unit", should be higher though, as x9 CXB 3070 ran at ~1.4A produces well over 450W (dissipated); I don't believe Mean Well has reached that level of perfection where their drivers run 100% efficient but they are getting closer :mrgreen:

There's a fault in your design if the 450W comes more expensive than the 900W version with the same number of COBs.
