I agree, he's referring to the right to discriminate laws, but it's kinda weird how he steers very clear from remarks like this about extremist Muslims, even to the point of sounding like he's defending them. Btw I'm atheist and I think all politicians are dirtbags, no matter what party they are.

I think that in order to want to be a politician you have to be a certain personality type, then to survive and thrive in politics you have to be even more of a personality type... Very arrogant, think you know what's best, and power hungry. If you were any other type you wouldn't make it past being the president of an HOA or something like that.

I see his point, the king was very wrapped up in religion, so he was presented as being holy. going against the king was like going against the curch . At least that's what I can make of it. Now going against the government's views is viewed as being unpatriotic.
