Leaf Spotting. Think Different.

Looked into tent today and saw a bit of spotting on 2 of the leaves. Still new so dont know if it's from the cfls being too close or something else. Any help would be awesome.

Other then the spots growth had been good. Nice color and no other noticable problems.On day 19. No nutes have been started yet. Currently only 2x 42w cfls. Wil be adding more as it gets bigger since a HPS isn;t really in my budget ATM. Fox Farm Happy Frog soil.

I get those damn rusty spots as well sometimes. For me it's usually because of build up although I'm testing that theory now by flushing with a few gallons everytime immediately to feeding. My test plant has remained very green so far but it's only a few weeks into flower. Usually by now I'm scratching my ass trying to figure out what im doing wrong and what causes the rusty spots. Not on this test plant though. Seems I may have figured it out.

Not sure what you have going on unless the soil is hot. I played the CalMag game and that never made a difference. I use smart pots and that allows me to "flush" then feed without overwatering. Depending on what kind of pot you have maybe flush real good then feed. Around week three is when I start adding nutes at half strength.

the big patch almost looks like a light touched it , the smaller spots on the other leaf makes me think calcium def , but seeing how the soil isnt that old , kinda makes me think maybe the ph is off locking the calcium out , whats the ph on the water you are using ?
fox soil is pretty hot normally ..... and it also has a problem with ph instability ... main reasons i used it a couple times and just never looked back

PH of my RO water is between 5.5 -7.0. Haven't tested soil PH lately but will check it out later and post results of that also. Looks like the spots are nly on those 2 leaves. All new growth is still coming in nice and green.

I've ran a few runs of photos w/o journals, And since this is my first run with an auto I'm really excited to see how it's gonna turn out. I've seed TD get some good results and had a friends who pulled a nice harvest off 3 last month he just finished up. Def planning on investing in a HPS for the future as i still have 4 of these beans, And 10 G-13 Auto Pineapple Express...Plus one Rando freebies from when I paced the order.

i put a party sized pocket of seed starter in my pot and put the bean in that so the soil is really really bland .... kinda eliminates the chance to burn em when they are young... i also add extra lime to whatever im using ..... just because the bag says its there doesnt mean it was mixed proper or in the proper amount so i add a bit more to make sure

i dont have spots but a few of mines are growing like crap and im usisng happy frog.....next time ill try roots to see if its a bit better....

using r/o water and Not replacing the cal/mag will cause these rust spots every time.

Looks like you spilled something on the leaves earlier, in combination with the lights being to close.

using just r/o is stripping it of nutrients, not helping. How does just using r/o feed the bennies and fungi that Happy frog depends on to work?

sure........ but a plant that size in a pot that big doesn't need fed anything ...... ro or not

hes either telling lies and been feeding or hes watered it in a way that the bottom of the pot is mud.....

I edited my post again, Happy frog uses, excuse my language, Organic materials which is bennies and fungi. those take time to break down nutrients, ESPECIALLY calcium. And if you aren't feeding them, but hurting them with plain r/o, you see how they become deficient.

yeah sure, and your theory is about as far fetched as it gets, so good luck with that. I have about 100% success rate at calling out this issue from people using r/o and distilled water.
