The sad par t is it's gong to happen no matter what the people want. It's being built already, millions upon millions invested. Do you think any of the people involved would have started this project unless they were given assurance that it WILL pass? Back room deals and political favors have already been made.

Oil is fungible, it all goes into the world market. If China buys all of the Keystone oil, they will buy less of the other oil on the market. More supply drives prices down, no matter who supplies it, or who uses it.

Education on basic economics would be worth a little bit of your time.

Did you study the map and see that one route is almost finished? The hand writing is already on the wall. Those Union jobs that Panhead was talking about are the people that will benefit job wise. So I can see how you don't care much for those kind of jobs. good luck.

Noone will gain employment in/around the oil export terminals either.

Shops, accommodation, etc wont benefit from the thousands of construction workers earning and spending their money where the construction work happens...

And anyways, theres no pipelines in the US already...

Hell lets concentrate on our public works infrastructure program for roads, bridges, and transit systems.
