Obama vetoes the Keystone XL Pipeline

That's why McConnell is trying to override the veto, huh?

It's all part of Mitch's master plan..
Really? I know you're an idiot, but you can't be this stupid.

Of course they're going to try to override the veto. If it succeeds, it's a huge win. If it fails, it's still a big win. Get as many of them on record voting with Obama against it. 85% of Pubs support it, 53% of Independents and freaking 40% of Dems.

Do you think overriding the veto has any chance in hell at succeeding? What are we up to now on the number of times republicans have tried to overturn the ACA?

The majority of republicans support it, independents are 50/50 and democrats largely oppose it, those are pretty expected numbers.. Then again 49% of republicans don't believe in evolution and 57% of republicans don't believe in the 1st amendment because they would support establishing Christianity as the state religion, according to public policy polling... So when it comes to scientific or environmental issues, it's safe to say republicans aren't the best people to go to..

Anything is possible. Do I think it will succeed, no. But, as I stated earlier, that's not the only way they win.

And straight from the HuffPo, the numbers in support are:

56% Americans
83% Pubs
53% Independents
40% Dems

As gas prices inevitably climb, support will most likely increase as well. They can't really lose on this issue.

why are you bringing bucky into this?

i'm only here for a few minutes and this is the conversation you want to have with me? bucky?

what is your obssession with the guy?
LOL, one out of 100 posts and that one post I mention you being afraid of being called racist. Doesn't take a rocket surgeon to know who would do that here. Hardly an obsession. You want to see obsession, compare my alerts FROM him compared to mine TO him.

I would wager he mentions me more than I mention him, that he keeps files on me and I don't do it to him, that he's gone through 10K posts of mine from ANOTHER site and I haven't even read that many of his here. Wanna make up a bet and do the counting?

I mentioned his name once in the past week and you quoted that one time and called me obsessed. Seems a bit like the pot calling the kettle names wouldn't you say? Your obsession is part of the RIU politics drama though, so carry on thinking we all obsess over an insignificant lunatic.

he told them he would VETO, so why waste the time. I guess the only option the GOP think they have is Keystone Vote or ACA vote.:dunce:
Yeah, we might as well let the emperor have his way. I mean, it's not like we have three equal branches of government after all.

Let's put the Democrats on record voting against the economic interests of working Americans!

Uncle Dumbass strikes again.

I don't even know what you said but it's obviously invalid, the dude who grows pot illegally in a legal state and dodges taxes/regulations really has no say in the economic well being of a country/state.
little boy, you are one jackass of a little troll.

and i mean little. 4'11''. on a good day.

I have no party, you often forget this. I have voted for more republicans in my life then democrats.

The problem was that the pubs were pushing the idea that it was a grander affair then the reality, they were dressing up a hog.

Additionally I cannot allow anyone to put a pipeline through sovereign nations without proper full approval. As an American Indian I feel quite solidly on this topic.
Lol.

So there would've been no jobs at the end of the pipeline?

I suppose they're just pumping the oil to the "magic oil market" and not to harbour terminals?

The construction work wouldn't bring any economic benefits to the surrounding areas, no?

I guess all those construction workers must run on Obama's Magical Green Faerie Power?

There is a HUGE ripple effect from this sort of infrastructure investment, especially if it's privately funded and not a Govt project.

But yeah, the "oilz iz badz" argument is totally better than the economic one.
