Good luck to everyone who read the rules. @FrozenChozen Sorry for the confusion pal. Had a busy week too much work not enough play. Ill be back next challange. also definitely be watching and following along. it's 80 degrees in Miami today so at least I got three seedlings I can pop outside and see what happens to them

Yo, I mean I don't want you to drop out completely if you still have 2 seeds you technically can pop. I think you should be allowed to pop 2 seeds and just hope for a female? You only messed up on 3 so you should be dq'd on those(and I would just put them under veg light because they are still in seedling mode) but still be allowed to pop 2 more. The rules say "5."

What do y'all think?

All i did was scoop a little soil around the base of my plant because it was stretching.
What i meant was once i start a regular water/ Feeding schedule my soiil level will sink at least a cm under the lip of the cup. The truth is if i took the picture from a different angle we wouldnt even be having his conversation. The soil level is already level
As far as me not going by the rules on the official germination posting update thats just an honest mistake . :dunce: :peace:

As I said before, Ignorance does not grant immunity....
You can still pop 2 for THIS competition, the 3 you already have CAN NOT BE ENTERED, they're DQ'd, end of story.
As for the MOUND of dirt, if its that big of a deal to prop your seedling, use a straw or pencil or stick. Medium needs to be CONTAINED in your 16 oz cup.... The truth is, I still would have called you out on that, even if everything else was perfect, and so you know, the angle of your picture doesn't change how much dirt you have piled on top of the cup...

STOP SPLITTING HAIRS!
THIS IS SO INSANELY SIMPLE!

Hi everyone, the seed has cracked open and she's in the soil...my first official post:)

Grow Space: 3'x2' Secret Jardin tent, converted from 3'x3', shared with other flowering plants
Soil: Miracle Grow Organic Choice, no amendments
Lights: IG Pro 200 Par and a 2700K CXA 3590 at 1.05A. 13 on/11 off, + 5 mins of 8W 730nm at the end of the 13 on cycle
Nutrients: 12.3 cents of Miracle Grow African Violet Liquid Plant Food (MGAVLPF) + Botanicare Cal-Mag + as necessary

Strain: Ghost Train Haze #1, fem seed

Here's my setup. I'll be using a BluMat Tropf for watering/nutrient delivery. In the pics, you can see the cups' master bag(16 oz), the full cup (ignore the dirty floor of the tent, it's been a long three months...), the bottom of the cup (simple holes poked in the bottom), and the hand written label on the rim of the cup. Any issues, please let me know!

How many drops is 12.3 cents? @mc130p Did you ever find that sweet spot for the 200? I just got one for $325 from Darryl @ indagro..... My 420 is mere inches from my canopy, I only get burning when leaves rest on the bulb for long periods...

Uh, I think it's about 40 drops/gal at peak...I work it like a gaussian....start at zero, peak in the middle, asymptotically approach zero in the end........

@FrozenChozen sorry to ignore your question, man. I get all stoned and forget to finish things, lol. Keep in mind that I'm just finishing my first grow with the light, so I don't really know what I'm talking about, hah. Also, I have the additional COB for side lighting, and my height is currently dictated by the tallest plant. I let it get right up there though next to the light, doesn't seem to hurt anything. I would say it's within 2-3 inches for the tallest branch and up to 14 inches from the lowest. I'm still not really sure on what the distance should be though. Seems like as close as you can get the light is what you want. You got a good price, dude! Maybe get the pontoon since you saved so much?

Question, my light is four cobs with four drivers. Would it be in violation of the rules to turn 2 of them off while the plants are small?

I'll have an official post here as soon as I can find my dang camera...

Buckle up Boys and Girls...It's time for Update Number .....? 2? Fuck, Time for my weekly update, we'll call it....

Weekly Update # Purple

So if ya'll have been paying attention, I had a power outage during my last scheduled update...I'm that guy who posted mobile update by Flashlight? Well. we'll get a little more in depth with this go around! First thing I noticed it some decent growth rate...And ick, time to cover the rockwool to prevent algae growth...starting to look a little green...haha

And you'll notice that the one farthest on the right is looking a bit yellow...Hungry Lambo! Better up the nutes a little with their water change tomorrow...

Starting to have some growth at the nodes already...

Hungry Lambo...

Looks like the other two didn't take the pH fluctuation as well as the yellow gal...Let my pH meter dry out towards the beginning of the comp and had to wait a few days for a new one in the mail...Eh...What's done is done, doesn't look TOO bad...haha

And THAT, folks, concludes this weeks update...Or as I like to call it... the Purple update
