Well guys and gal 1of 4 came up so far and it's my hempy well problem is that I've never did that way so if anyone has any honest suggestions let me know only I would try a new style for a great competition

I plan on doing hempy too (with teas). I have rapid rooters too. Not just perlite in there either also

Not trying to be a dick but not only is that the first post, even though you can see dates written on the cup from over a week ago, that soil cap that will be "washed," away the "first time he waters?" Umm, have you not had to water in over 12 days becuase that cup says 2-10 on it....also, the rules, at least to me and most others, say that the first post must be either a germination post or when they break the surface....most of the contests are putting pictures of their germ process but that's not totally necessary, but it is neccesary to have posted a first "official," post as soon as they broke the surface.

I agree completely! I feel like he should remove those 3 from competition and try to germ 2 more before the 1st. If that cannot be done I vote for dq. This is my first time competing and I read and understood the rules just fine, (16oz of roots equals 16oz of medium, 1st post at germ or sprout date, and update weekly, etc..). Maybe some other ppl can chime in with their opinion?

Dang drama drama! The rules are super simple and like others of said K.I.S.S. It's funny how some people make something so simple so freaking difficult and make it seem like rocket surgery haha. The rules are super simple and easy to follow! Sorry I'm ranting, it's just entertaining. Stoked to see some bud porn pics soon growing in some cups!! Good starts for you all and good luck to everyone!

I disagree, make it as complicated as possible, distracting everyone as much as we can. That way I can just follow a few simple rules and win this thing with my last remaining seed

All i did was scoop a little soil around the base of my plant because it was stretching.
What i meant was once i start a regular water/ Feeding schedule my soiil level will sink at least a cm under the lip of the cup. The truth is if i took the picture from a different angle we wouldnt even be having his conversation. The soil level is already level
As far as me not going by the rules on the official germination posting update thats just an honest mistake .

I guearantee that as far as volume of soil/medium in that cup it is a lot less then 16 oz. its mostly cyco clay rocks..... but im no "Rocket surgeon"

I don't know they didn't offer those courses at my school. my grandfather was a genius oceanographer but he got lost at sea. so maybe it happened for a reason. Not that im comparing myself to a genius but sometimes you look over the fine print when your mind is working over time.
