Taking bud on Greyhound

Hey tokers, I'm new to this site & had a question. I plan on traveling from Summerville SC to Cincinnati OH with 2 oz's of mids next Monday. My plan was doubling bagging it, putting it into a Mason jar, then shove it in a pair of shoes stuffed with socks in my luggage. Would this work? I've never road a bus before so I don't know how their security is. The only reason I'm getting it here is because the prices are way cheaper. Speedy replies would be awesome thx.

I have not road a bus in decades, and there was no security...but I have heard that buses are starting to get the same security as the airports. The longer pot is in any container, the more time the smell has to permeate through it for the dogs to detect. Be careful! Your on a bus crossing state lines...That is a federal drug trafficking charge if caught, not a simple possession charge.

Generally there is absolutely no security on Greyhound. You put your big luggage under the bus in storage (not in the seats part).

Go to your local head shop and ask for no-smell bags. They work like a charm. Either that or a vacuum sealer. Both are better than jars.

You should be fine on a Greyhound bus though...

unless the stuff is vape pen (ovape) do not do it

depending on where u are going if u get caught doing this u are going to spend a shit load of time and money to avoid lock up

they are right about them not checking much at the the smaller pick up spots but once u get to a main terminal/hub that all changes ........really guy it is not worth it unless u are only going into states that have reduced the charges ...........the simple fact once u cross a state line with anything on u it is trafficing/transporting over state lines and becomes a federal case then the mandatory sentence fall into place ...........i had to pass tho 3 hubs to get home from SC to MD up 95 .........they had dogs checking the buses

the ovape / vape pen stuff is the safest way to travel with the stuff ........as long as u never admit it has THC in it u are golden .........just say it is CBD oil 100% legal but it will make the field test come up as positive

edit .....if u want something at the end of the trip when u get off .....FEDEX it to yourself or UPS one day shipping ..........they are a private not USPS so they are much more lax if u seal the stuff up and send it u have almost no chance of getting busted (i used FEDEX to ship moonshine all over the country ) even sent home stuff from denver tho fedex

you should be fine.. they dont really check buses that much. and its up to the bus driver if he wants to let the police search the bus anyway. just vac seal ur bud and wash it off with 91% rubbing alcohal... they check the amtrak trains more and they really dont hardly check the trains that.much either like they would an aorport

Years ago a guy I knew went to Mexico to few times to hook up. He took the GHound there and back and used a mule to get whatever from Mexico to US. He told me that as soon as he was on the bus, he would go to the bathroom and somewhere in the bathroom there is a small panel that he would remove and stash the stuff in the bathroom until right before he got to his final stop. I've never ridden a GHound, so can't elaborate on this panel, but I do believe him. His stash was actually on his person for less than 10-15 minutes over a 20+ hour bus ride.

Go with no smell bags. If you leave it in a jar it could get broken. I've seen the employees get rough with baggage when swapping em. Also for the love of god don't talk about it to anyone. The last GH bus I was on there was a guy from who had been to Colorado. Picked up 4 zips. Within 10 minutes of picking him up he's bragging about it. We hit a terminal. 15 minutes later a GH security guy comes up and starts pestering him. Tells him to either give it up or he's going to be arrested in short order. Guy calls his bluff and security gets on phone with real pigs. Guy takes off out of there. Mind you this was 1200 miles from his intended destination. He damn well wasn't going to get another ticket out of there. And getti on a plane was out of the question since there was an APB on him. If things take a turn for the worse just chuck the bag across the floor a few isles in front of you. You ain't fooling the dog. Don't handle it bare handed. That bag WILL get printed. A print is a convinction. Don't sneak off during smoke breaks to toke up. You'll just smell like weed and a 1/4 can of Axe body spray. Or mail it no signature. If they ask for a signature then pretend to be oblivious to the package and tell them to return it.

Funny story, growing up I rode greyhounds quite a bit, anywhere from 100 mile short stints to 1500 mile long hauls, been through a lot of different terminals, one of the main terminals I used was Salt Lake City, Utah. Now this last summer I went and visited some family in Washington state and ended up taking greyhound back to my home state. Not once in all of my travels had there ever been TSA or any kind of baggage checks, and the one time I have stuff on me, we are waiting in line to board in Salt Lake and TSA walks up and says we are going thru carry on bags. Now, I'm roughly at the back of the line and all my stuff is in my carry on, so I head over to my checked bag and transfer a few things over. Meanwhile I'm telling the other passengers that if they are carrying anything illegal such as "knives", to transfer them to your under bus bags. Longer story short, TSA half heartedly looked into the tops of bags with a flashlight and then cleared us for take-off. Figured I would share this story with you because nobody else really had any personal stories involving security at bus stops. And this is something to keep in mind. This is actually my first post and I made an account to share this with you folks, I've been an avid forum follower and have even promoted the site to a few friends who were looking for information on a certain topic at times. But nonetheless its a pleasure to join the RIU site.

IVe made a lot of trips from fl to ky and back with buds. no extra Precautions needed. hell ive smoked in the bathroom on sevral Occasion and did a little over an 8ball of powder with a stranger. and smoked on every stop always stinkin pf the roaches i had on person.

And it's not the driver's discretion if the bus is searched.

TSA handles "security" of many, many bus terminals. This has been going on for quite a while.

There are hundreds and hundreds of articles dating back years and years covering TSA and bus terminal checks.
I worked by a major Greyhound hub in Ca back in the 90s and our company had business with Greyhound, I walked over there many, many times and every time saw cops wandering around with dogs. That was way back in 91-92.

We have to give him props… this man certainly was creative when he was trying to find an inconspicuous way to carry around his goods. In fact, he chose a stuffed lion wearing a D.A.R.E. shirt!
