soil seems to be staying wet for too long

Care to share a picture of the plant if possible?

this was taken about 2 days after i cut off dead leaves....about 2 days later i added grow nutes which halted the leaves from dying..they still are yellowing though..

What I'd do is not pluck anymore leaves off, wait for the pot to completely dry out, give 1/4 strength of nutes with a dose of cal mag and water till you get a good amount of runoff and then go from there. Maybe scratch up the top surface of the soil in attempt to aerate it a bit. Just my opinion though .

one other problem ive had, temp of the room is 80 degrees plus..72 on the coolest of days where i live....any leftover water evaporates within a day here...have plants on a baking pan to collect runoff

You are using minimum spec tri band led an not them toy ones of eBay? Are you using multi spectrum LEDs . What about timer definitely working aok check the cut out switch on the units isn't coming on every few hours knocking them off let us know what you find
