Hey guys, I found this item as a close-out at "Big Lots". It's called Eye Clops mini Bionic Eye.
It's basically a "toy" plug-in TV microscope. But it sure works great for checking trichomes. I got mine for $20 & change. Thought I would pass this along, it has sure helped me. It's a lot easier to check the screen of a 25" TV than squinting into one of those little pocket scopes. I've included some pix, the trichomes show a lot better than my crappy camera can capture off a TV screen.

Update: I haven't been able to put this damn thing down! It's like "spelunking" down a diamond mine.
I've gone through all 6 of my dried strains and the subtle differences are amazing. I once again, HIGHLY recommend this or any simular product if you REALLY want to get up close and personal with your buds.
I've tried some more pix, but my Vivatar is not up to the challenge of capturing decent screen shots.

Its amazing what you can find sometimes. Great find and I'm going to check out my local big lots tomorrow :hump:
 
I've seen those before, it never dawned on me it could be used to see trichs. A tip of the hat to you, thanks.
 
I found one called the bionic eye se at amazon for 9.99. I ordered a couple of books on growing and got the free shipping for it all.

I have vision problems and I can not believe I've never heard of this before! I thought I should say thanks if for no other reason than to bring this back around for anyone who may have missed it. Good find. I'm tired of squinting thru my pocket scope...

I ordered this last night. Has tv screen built in, and USB memory chip to bring all screen captures to your computer for storage & uploads. So, once again, here ya go guys, one terrific tool, enjoy.

Thanks JP, good place to find them for best price is Amazon.com. They had them from $250 to $50 for a used one, (no thanks, lol). Got mine for $67.69 to the door. Good luck & good grow......BB
 
wow those last pics are very nice and clear.... what did u buy for 69?... its not the same thing as the first page in big lots right?... big difference in quality of the pics... great find non the less... Happy growing.

Hi Franco, you're right, the 1st pix were the "Eye-Clops Bionic-Eye". That was the $20 unit. The last pix were from the
"BioniCam", with built-in screen & memory chip. That was $67 and worth every penny. Now i'm having as much fun LOOKING at my buds as I am smoking them, lol.........BB

Sweet!.. They do look really nice pics man. im gonn ahave to check this out for sure.... Nice and clear pics. I mean i have a pretty nice camera with supermacro and all that... but this just POP.. good find Sir!
