Omega Garden

i've seen one simaler when i lived in Alaska. Guy had 4 in his garage under his house kept his house warm during the long freezing winter. got to be careful the plants dount drip on the light bulb. there hypnotizing.

I have a friend who has great success with one of the stainless steel models. He raves about the ease of use and 2+ pounds of green yield every 60 days. I've seen it once and was impressed by the apparent sturdiness - it really seemed like a growing machine:) Perhaps a picture will explain!

thats what I was told, Ive been telling my friends but all of them think its weak

it even has WHEELS!!!

if im not mistaken some one posted about haveing won one, they showed pics of it dissassembled, they said they would run a journal when it was assembled,im trying to find his old post,it was only a few months back.

Thanks for bringing this up Moezers. I've been thinking about it more and seeing how much room I have on my credit card. I do like the fact that its on wheels and can be moved around for cleaning, etc.

Won't fit in my closet either but my basement is ready for an appliance like this. Cheers.

Someone said they are pretty expensive... i was thinkin the same thing...2 grand for a small model ...but then i thought of the massive yeilds per sqaure foot of growing space and lightbulb efficiency ...wow...less water too... and much more... I'm sure this would pay for itself very quickly, money wise and in customer satisfaction as well... i want one !

newly designed one from omegagarden called volksgarden - one light and very few parts making it more affordable and will fit in hydrohut

ya out of wood maybe lol even then i bet it would take you 100 hrs of labor and it wouldnt last a month, but hey everyone else is doing it, just look how many you see on the chat rooms. still to talking s**t its much cheaper

Where are all the "Do-it-yourselfers"!?! Build the cheapest DIY Omega Garden...

Sounds like a good contest... :-)~

How much is your time worth? I think it would minimally take a couple hundred hours and you're going to end up with an unsightly piece of closet art.

I'd like to see what you come up with and I'm definitely a DIYer too. For something like this, however, I suspect you'll come to the conclusion that 2k is not really expensive for what you get: something that has residual and long lasting value.

Good Luck!
