i see a lot of people the fuck up a cfl gro but a lot of people do really good under cfl why

HPS people say that you cant get tight budz from cfls but this is not true i ve seen with my own eyes tight budz

if you have flowered under cfl please ues this thread to help prove my point
post only pics that where flowered under cfls

cfl is an art form any one can grow under an hps but it takes a artist to grow under cfls

you have to realy know you subject. now this is not a thread for bashing hps.

for vegging its great for supp lighting with a mh. I just like not having to move them around all the time for flower.

Not knocking you, but you made this thread much less readable by posting fucking huge pictures that don't even nearly fit on my screen, instead of thumbnails!
I think you have hit the nail on the head, cfls can produce great results, but they take a lot of work arranging them around the plants and keeping them as close as possible to as much/as many of the plants as possible. Hps just hangs there above them and you raise it as the plants grow, much simpler, especially for a new grower who is worrying about things like watering times, nute schedules etc.
There's the whole debate about whether hps is mor efficient, in real world terms. Of course on paper it produces almost twice as many lumens per watt, but as it's a single concentrated heat source, the plants have to be kept further away from the bulb, reducing the amount of lumens the plant/s actually recieve. So which is best? There's only one way to find out! FIGHT!!!
Ahem. Sorry I got a bit carried away their, I meant a carefully controlled side by side comparison grow!!! Has anyone seen one done? As a proper fair test with clones from the same mother, same environment, everything identical bar the type of lighting? That would surely put this matter to rest.

So yeah you CAN grow good bud with cfls. that plant im holding in the pic was grown with a t8 shop light fitted with 5-8 cfls. here are some better pics of it growing

i think the key to growing good bud with cfls is keep the lights close. not vegging for too long, so you can get light all over the plant, its just hard to do with big plants and cfls.

i love hps lights. when it comes to large grow op. any one would be a fool to use cfls but less then 5 ok with me and keep them short

part of the art is monitoring the size (1ft) and lollipoping them keeping all the energy on the main cola

Bar none cfl's do make some great plants for micro grows and for personal smoke. Very nice pictures in here.

There are also two 2700k CFL's that are 27w

I am also using two 6500k CFL's to give a little light of the other spectrum.

It all was vice versa during veg.

This lighting is all for one plant. My growth was stunted because I kept removing fan leaves during the first month of veg to keep it from shading the undergrowth. I should have used the LST method... But it was an experiment to see if it would still produce nice buds, or even continue to grow for that matter. It was a random seed from a mid-grade bag. Also, I didn't use ANY nutes. Just watered when dry. It should be done within the next few weeks or so. These pictures were taken on the 7-17-09

no nute wow, thats sounds like my first grow but i used MG soil. it dosnot look like you are useing soil. what is that
