How much do you yield under a 400 hps

Hello, I have a nice little sea of green going, 23 plants in a 4 by 4 area I am curious how much other people yield under the 400 hps so post ad let me know I am hoping to yeild about five ounces for myself on my first run with this light

if u do it right u can probly get a half ounce off of each plant

U hit it right on the money there, at least close. I just harvested 3/4oz off my last. It was my first grow with hid's, and I'll never use anything else for flowering ever again.

i got alot more off 1 plant will hps matter of strain and how tall u let them grow and how many bud spots r on the plants i got like almosted 3 pounds off of 6 plants in a 4x4 with a 430 watt hps so think about that....

I am currently using a 400HPS and I get about 1.5 ounces per plant. I just weighed my last chop and I got exactly 40 grams of trimmed, resin packed buds off a White Widow. I get a lil bit more off AK47 or White Russian and I get about 30-35 grams off my Afghan Kush.

3 lbs, wow. Hell of a grow, what did you use?

Most people see about an ounce per 100 watts, but as you get bigger bulbs you will get geometrically expanding yields. I would say you are pretty close with 5oz. You might be a little high, but that sounds close enough for a guess.

Good Luck, maybe we can find out how to grow 3 lbs under a 430 watt in a 4 X 4 area. I am willing to learn anything.

.... that's what, 1/2lb of each plant, dry or wet weight? I wish i could let mine get big enough, but due to space restrictions, i can olny grow em 2 feet tall. There's always improvements to make, cool-tubes to strap on, temps and humidity levels to maintain and in the end, it seems u always learn somethin new to do to improve overall conditions, and overall yeilds.

that guy did not get 3lbs off of a 400 watt hps. that is impossible

I just harvested 2 plants under 400w HPS. Both plants total was approx 170g dry weight. Thats 6 O's of some dank ass bud!!

My AK47 got me almost 400g wet and my PPP got me 330g wet.

yeah three pounds absolutley not possible. Hello again boneman, Sounds like a good setup, checked out grow journal, nice job I love the straight perlite idea. fucking 5 degrees outside right now. grow room is cold here in sconsin but the babies are doing great.

I got 6 Pounds off a 60w incandescent bulb. Think about that...

Why do people need to bullshit about what yeild given people on here who use the same HID lamps already known already what max and min are.

Myself i'm a 400w person i grow 4 plants and get 2 ounces per plant using high yeilding strains like supergirl, (love that baby!) and also PPP great rewarding plant also hitting the 2 per plant under my 400w.

It don't get any better than that, i grow no taller than 18 inches because from experience a 400w is a complete waste after the 12 inch mark anyway......'' i should add i do use superbud as well.

I don't beat myself up trying to improve my set up anymore as far as i'm concerned i've cracked it. If i want more then i must add more light, simple as that.

I grew 6 blueberry clones vegged under a 430w and flowered under a 1000w once and got almost 2 pounds.

Next grow I did 6 medusa clones and got under a pound with the same lights, nutes, and tender loving care.

It all depends on your strain how much you will yield. The blueberry was mostly indica and the medusa was mostly sativa.

I've found that I always yield more from indica but most people prefer the high of sativa more. Me myself, I like a stoney couch lock make you tired high unlike most so I'm indica all the way

I have a 400hps in my 5ft5x1ft11 room doing 8 plants at the momant, gonna yeild about an oz each, i usually do 6 plants under it an yeild just over an oz to an oz and half per plant

i agree completly. ive used a 400. im sure we all would love to get 3 lbs from that.lol

all you guys only get 1.5 to 2 oz a plant under a 400 watter??
My last 2 grow I got that off a 250 watter, I'm currently growing Afghani#1 under 400 and expect a fair bit more than that, Maybe its just luck though. i dunno, fairly new to the game myself.
