Alright here we go. I started a veggie garden this year because i couldnt grow my own meds in the summer so i have a grower for the time being. I miss growing weed, so i started my veggie garden to keep me occupied, its not near as satisfying as growing weed though. I am also using the garden to further my knowledge on plant life and what they need and what not pretty much plant life.
My soil is 40% top soil and 40% organic compost and 20% humice. I also had to add a few bales of peat moss and black golds organic compost as well to fill the boxes up all the way, the soil also comes ph stable.

Garden specs: 2 raised beds each 4 ft x 10ft x 2 1/2ft deep. I have copper tape around both boxes so no slugs get in cuz we have alot and so far no probs.

PICS.
#1. Raised bed 1, contains 1 cayenne, 1 bell pepper 3 rows of radishes and i have already harvested these 1 time. 1 row of onions, one row of lettuce, and then at the end we have some cucumber, lemon cucumber, watermelon, and cantaloupe.

#2. Raised bed 2, contains 4 tomato plants theri small because i just replaced the last because they had root rot so i pulled they were 4 ft tall already to but all well. also is 3 bel pepper, 3 cayenne, rows of corn and under the corn is green beans climbing the corn. also have a few jade cuts i theri starting to root. also some mint i found so i pulled it and put it in a pot in my garden.

the other pics explain them selfs. the only prob i have is aphids but theri not to bad but bad enough to attract ants. also just discovered spider mites on my corn so i am going to go buy some lady bugs to eat them off. oh and the pic of the brown water is water and a bag of aged horse shit. i added 2 tablespoons of molasses to it also, now what i read was to just let it sit for a few days and then use it ina diluted mix, but this shit is way stinky and has a layer of film on top of the water. is this normal if any one know. my plants seem to love it though.

any questions or advice is always welcome, and i hope i get at least a few followers.:joint::joint::blsmoke::blsmoke::peace:bongsmilie:eyesmoke:

This is lovely man, are your beans really climbing the corn? Mine would not do it. Sucks what happened to your maters.

wow what a great variety of plants. I have never grown corn before and I have a little itch to do it now. I also have a small outdoor garden here in CO. Im def gonna make it alot bigger next year.
As for the compost tea you are attempting to make, you really need some air getting to that water to help all the good microbes that you wanna keep. I think your tea has gone bad though... Im no expert and have only been doing my guano kelp tea for three months now so I may be wrong. Actually the whole reason I started my outdoor veggi garden is because I didnt want to pour my liquid brown gold (left over tea) down the drain, and I couldnt keep it sitting around because it would go bad. You have convinced me to start an outdoor veggi thread.-THANKS!

thank you, and ya they are climbing it, i rad in a article the three sisters, corn, green beans and sqaush.
check this link and it explains why its good -> http://www.reneesgarden.com/articles/3sisters.html

and as for my matos, i planted them when they were supposed to be but we had rain for 2 weeks after witch is unusal, but all the wet and cold air made the roots started to rot and the plant became weak.

and ya i thought it might be bad. but ive been doin alot of reading on garden forums and it seemed alot of poeple just let it soak for a few weeks with no air or nothin and they still used it. i just wanted to be safe. i stur it every, but it just reaks of fresh poo. my plants love it though. thanks for the input though, i am going to do some more research on it as well as visiting a few nurseries today to see what they think. and im glad i convinced you to grow some veggies, its really cool to see al the plants go from nothing to something great.

i kinda had to help them at first but know they are goin crazy, and ya im hopin for some spice peppers, my cayenne should be hot. i wanted some habenaros but coulndt find them.

and whodat, you were right my tes is bad. i just got back from my fav hydro store where my buddy works and he says what im doin will give the plants some beneficial stuff but most likely more bad then good. he said i need an air pump so as soon as i get one my tea will be back in action. thanks whodat for the info, or i would have been giving my plants some poison. hey seemed to like the first 2 doses thought but i want my veggies to be safe along with me bein safe eating them. im tryin to get into organic and home made stuff to do outdoor with, and im prtty much tryin to prepare my self with knowledge for when i can grow pot outdoors for my self.

Veggies look good bro....makes me jealous I cant grow anything out here in the desert of Las Vegas. But I am moving to Cali here really soon so I hope I get a place taht has a desent sized yard but i doubt it hahhaha. Ever tried carrots?? When I was a boy we used to grow everything for salads so you could just go pick it fresh and wash and eat it right then......Carrots are fun because they get different sizes like a cola....LOL

whats up GG. ya the raised beds are pretty nice and they were cheap to make, i wish it had marijauna growing in it instead though but i live on a busy street. sounds like you got a nice lil garden going. i did have a northern high bush blueberry plant but they require a ph of 4-5 and ididnt know that until it had died, but i will get another one, they are only 5 dollors for a nice sized bush. and my strawberries are sucking this year. i think they are to old or in to small of a pot now. all they seem to want to do is throw out babies instead of fruit. and the fruit that does come out is small and deformed. so after its done i wll toss those and replace it with its babies.

Damn that's a pretty garden. I can't wait to do something like that myself.

Mine at the moment is WAY shoddy.

It's two big holes in the ground filled up with top soil. Of course I live in stupid Florida so all we have here is sand for dirt... that doesn't help anything.

Can't wait to get back out to the Midwest where I'll actually be able to grow something worthwhile.

thank you MP. and im sure yo cand find some good soil around. i bought 2 .2 yards worth of compost witch is a huge amount of dirt for only 80 dollors. if my regualr place was in stock it would have only bean 22 but all well, its really good dirt and pretty cheap for the amount. but i can see how growing in florida would be hard with th hot and very humid weather u guys have down thier
