Alright Guys
This took a total of 30 min to complete
and less than a hundred dollars.
You can find all the necessities at your hardware store and Petstore.

Materials Needed:

6 or 8'' Duct booster 250cfm/ 300cfm $35

Activated Carbon. $12

Duct Tape $4

Junction box and cover $3

Junction box power wire clamps $2

Foil Tape $ 12

Duct zip ties $10

8' 14 Gage power cord no female plug $10

Plenum box with 6'' adapter $12

Metal mesh filter $8

Alright lets Get Started.

Take your Metal Filter and tape it into a bag with Duct tape and Fill with the Activated Carbon.

Next use the Screws included with the duct fan and screw on your Junction box. Make sure you pre punch the holes.

Next, is the wiring just match the colors and put the wiring coupling before wiring into box.

Use Wire nuts to connect the wiring together. NOT electrical tape. And put on the Juction box cover.

Now For the Duct plenum box find a screen you can use and cut into shape. This is so the filter bag stays flat.

Now stuff in the filter bag and insure that it is flat against the surface.

Lastly attach your fan with the arrow of air flow pointing down. So the fan is pulling through the carbon filter.
Use the remainder screws to attach the two and seal the seam with foil tape.

I drilled some holes on top of the box to add hooks so I could hang it. You can attach a 6'' duct with the zip ties and lead it out your room if you wish.

Thats it guys, Keep it safe and secure
:leaf:Happy and Safe growing

Do you just let it sit in the middle of your room and it works? Or did you just not show us the picture of it being attached to a exhaust?

Yeah Its stand alone for now.
Like I said above I drilled some holes that it could hang and you can attach a duct line to run out.
Works Great

Those inline duct fans are far from 250 CFM,
they are 250 CFM when used as a booster but alone they are less CFM
Really nice diy tutorial though dude

Yes Tom your are absolutely correct.
Realistic is about 50 to 75 cfm after pulling through the filter.

I have a 3x5x8 room and it does clear out the odor.
I will upgrade to a bigger fan when some funds come available.
But for a cheap DIY when you have no Odor control this thing works wonders.
And That was all I needed to achieve.
Hell even tone down some of the stank MJ produces.
I also have a Ona bucket going too.

i believe tomorrow i will work on making one of those for my new grow room, i have everything i need and its like 90% ready but i dont have anything for the smell, and this looks like something that would work great for my room and is also pretty cheap which is always a plus :-D
Thanks camel

I have to make a few adjustments.
Currently it runs on the same timer as the room.
This really needs to run 24/0
shutting off for 12 hours means it has to catch up
and smell does build up and sometimes leaks out.

Very quiet R.

Sounds like a PC fan going.
The Carbon bag muffles the sound very well.

Just an Update:

My current White Widow is 5 weeks into flowering.
Putting the Scrubber on a automated on/ off timer
Has eliminated the smell in the room.

For any of you folks that dont have some sort of scrubber going,
you can only mask but so much.

:leaf:Carbon eliminates Odor:leaf:
