First setup, any advice appreciated

Hey guys, been doing research and collecting my thoughts and ideas for awhile now. I was originally going to set up in one of my closets but after doing a few temp checks with the book shelf in there I soon realized I was going to run into temperature issues..

A friend suggested a compact ac, however i'm trying to only spend where needed and those little things can get pricey! I have an a/c hanging on the wall in one of my rooms, and was actually planning on taking it down and walling it up a month or two ago but then it clicked..why not just use it where it sits for my babies?

So, that being said..I duct taped a trash bag around the ac unit running to a dryer hose haha..and it is actually working very nice. Where i was hitting 90's in the closet, I stay steady around 78-80. The duct tape is holding for now but I really want to utilize that ac unit in a not so ghetto fashion, possibly with ducting? Any ideas would help

Also, the lighting..am i alright? four 26w 6500k for now, have sockets to fit more and was planning on getting bigger bulbs..can't find any bigger at home depot so I guess i'll just order online.

Anyway, like i said any thoughts or ideas that might help me out would be greatly appreciated, thanks :)P1040299.jpgP1040307.jpgP1040302.jpgP1040301.jpg

I like the lighting set-up. What are you going to start doing when they get big?
I run into temp issues too. I keep my lights off for my 6 or 12 during the warmer hours of the day.

As stated above it's definitely a small area, unfortunately I don't think you'd be able to handle that amount of plants in that cabinet...perhaps 3-4.

you will definately need mroe light and room....i had a similar small grow like that and upgaded to a giant box.... i can give u insight on bulbs ! http://www.ebay.com/itm/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=390313109581&ssPageName=ADME:L:OU:US:1123 i use these and they r cheap and strong!

really like your rubbermaid grow..i'm in florida too so you know the heat. honestly i don't ever run my a/c under like 80 and can't expect temps like/near that in the box without some sort of a/c running to it. i've been patching this damn duct tape up all day and am over it, gotta think of something new to run the air in there soon or start sketchin something else up

yeah the lights r awesome!

to get the a/c to it tho get a plastic container thatll fit over the vent and get a duct from a hardwarestore .... the duct should be about 6-8 inches in diameter.... cut the plastic tub and put a hole that is smaller than the duct but not as big.... then tape together.... secure to your vent on the wall with screws or whatever then attatch to or where your grow area is.... and there you go it should work

sort of like a beer bong lol!!! a funnel like thing with a tube/duct
