Elon Musk just came out and said he's fairly confident Govts are going to start outlawing personal vehicle ownership by 2025. I believe him, he's been working side by side with govt agencies towards elec cars( his company had a large loan from the gov for his start up). Like all technology, i can see the good in it, but know it wont be used that way. It'll be a cold day in hell I give up the freedom of owning and driving my vehicle.
Technical progress is such a double edged sword. We can't imagine slow handlooms today but in the 1700's it was incomprehensible there would be anything else. Our spinning technology still can not create some of the yarns handspinners created historically. the sheers of Egypt have not been equaled, yet.

Ray Kurzweil and Google etc... I am so ambivalent.

And then there is the issue of repressed technology we aren't even given access to. I'm fairly convinced that ancient cultures had some of the technology we have nowadays, and maybe some we don't know of. Like you say, there are certain things they could do better than us now, and we really have no idea how they did much of it..I think we've been lied to about human history as a control mechanism. I always reference Tesla having wireless technology 100yrs ago..yet it's only really been introduced within the last 30 yrs.. We get "outdated" military tech passed down to us, that we think is so advanced..but if they are allowing it to the public, how far advanced are they with the tech they are putting into service and why isn't it being used to further society....yeah, I know why..

I can't even attempt to reason this one out. Is the "why" really important? It doesn't change the fact that all those people are gone and their families devastated. Honestly this has just bummed me out so bad. How horrible. Fucking humanity. Someone start a thread please to restore our faith in the human race.

Don't get so concerned over it. People have been taking others out in a blaze of glory for a long time. Besides, I bet you a 3rd of the peeps on that shit were asleep. And about half were heavily sedated on some kind of shit. One dude was probably dropping a huge loaf and diddling his Oscar Meyer.

Sucks, but I'd rather go down in a plane because some pussy 86'd himself than because some fuck goes all commando in a mall and I take three to the chest while pushing a fucking stroller.

I just read the update. People were screaming, the pilot was in the toilet and locked out of the cock pit. Euro flights are short, 2 hours and you could be anywhere so they weren't sedated for long haul. It's awful.

Yeah that sounds pretty shitty. When it's your time it's your time and sometimes you can't do shit about it.

I woulda stroked one out in the aisle to some beautiful mountains going by.

I struggle with why in an attempt to find a way to do better, a locus of control amidst the chaos. It makes no difference.

it was probably the easiest way for him to do it because not even country is easy as hell to get a gun like the states, to find the courage to actually jumping off a bridge or hang yourself is difficult. I would know, I would of done it long time ago if i didn't remember what it was like when i lost a friend. My friends probably don't care nearly as much about me as we cared about him though.
I'm just tired of my miserable life but i try to make the most of it, hard to do though when life keeps shitting in my face
dude, don't be so hard on yourself. seriously, i don't know you but im sure you have a lot to live for. everyone is unique in their own way, and that makes them special.

be thankful you have friends, food, water, internet and many other things that millions of people across the world, don't.

wow, that pisses me off..you should start a new thread..we're being made into criminals only because of our thoughts or legal possessions.
In 1991 we were discussing thought reading tech and how it was beginning to work and then my head imploded. I have oft wondered where they are with that tech now.

didn't u guys say u were gonna stop saying that after i said i dropped out of the "gang" in the beginning of september and got a job
You expect us to remember September? I have incredibly shitty weed (I am a terrible grower at best), and I have difficulty remembering last week. But good move getting out of a gang. BTW how do you get out of a gang? I thought once you jumped you were in.
