Yeast and Sugar Co2

I was just wondering what you guys thought about making a co2 generator from activated yeast and sugar. Also if you have any advice on what type of sugar to use, yeast to sugar ratio , how big a bottle. How much water and so-forth. I tried to search and find it but so far no luck...

I have a pint glass bottle with a metal lid, I figured I'd drill a hole through the top and just run some airline tubing from the bottle directly into the airspace between the water and the root system in my DWC bubbleponics system.
Whaddaya think???

you are going to need a bigger container for that type of setup to make it worth your while like about 5 gallons fermenting. A lot of people use corn syrup for the sugar and in my opinion it is the best when making alcohol as well. Im not sure on the amounts to use but hopefully this helps.

Does the container material have anything to do with fermentation? A couple friends of mine brew beer and they said always to use glass???

I figure I could get away with a smaller container since I'm limiting my co2 to about a two foot square area. And since the co2 will be sort of "trapped" inside the system I won't need as much as I would if I were just letting it disperse throughout the room

ya jonny glass is best for sure but if not anything will work. I would try it with what you have it wont hurt. CO2 is an added bonus to growing and not a necessity so even adding a little bit will do nothing but good for your plants. let me know how it goes. and if you have any pics you should post them on your setup im kinda interested

Hey guys, i had some issues abt co2 generator...

Tell me for how long shd i put it and is thr a specific time for giving co2?

is there any ill effect? can i possibly overdose my plant of co2? is there any problem if the exhaust fans are on while the co2 is given, cos that'll just take the co2 out of my cab ryt?

add all the sugar you want all that happens is the yeast eats away at the sugar and creates the co2 also it ferments quicker if you start it off in luke warm water so it activates the yeast straight away but not hot enough to kill it
